He was good with AZ until they lost their RB and Dobbs became their leading rusher and only passer. You could see how bad that offense was the 1st game without Dobbs. They now have the RB and real starting QB back...and they still suck.Dobbs looked good at Arizona at first then regressed same thing with the Vikings do you think maybe he is overthinking things. When he was first brought in he was playing on instinct the more he has learned the system the he has played much worse.Hope he didn't play himself out of the league but i am afraid he might have.
I loved Dobbs' play as QB for the Vols, but just isn't good enough on the field to play as a regular on Sundays. It was pitifully funny that some on here earlier in the season were claiming he was one of the best 20 QBS in the leagueDobbs just isn’t that good. It’s ok. Not every QB is meant to be a starter.
Yeah, but I mean just in an attempt to use him on that way in small doses. I’m not suggesting he’d be a major player in that role. Taysom Hill is used in smaller doses by the SaintsStewart and Randle El were two completely different players. Stewart led them to an AFC championship as a QB. Both of them were another level than Dobbs as an athlete
I can’t believe he is not playing today . Mullins is pedestrian at best
Well, he was playing better than most through 8ish weeks, as far as number go. He was the 15th best fantasy (6th QB) player after the Saints game.I loved Dobbs' play as QB for the Vols, but just isn't good enough on the field to play as a regular on Sundays. Why would they do that? There are others they can do it with that are better at it. Taysom Hill is a freaking stud. You're a bit delusional as to how Dobbs stacks up in the NFL. He's got a nice place in the NFL and if he chooses will get better opportunities as coach than he has ever had as a playerYeah, but I mean just in an attempt to use him on that way in small doses. And after the Saints game, his future opponents had enough film on him to put an end to his surprising play. He regressed from that point on for a reason. The intelligence and ability to learn an offense doesn't equate to playing instincts, which he is short on to play QB regularly in the NFL. He can play in a pinch, which is why teams are willing to bring him in when their top 2 QBs are hurt. That's a damn fine accomplishment!Well, he was playing better than most through 8ish weeks, as far as number go. He was the 15th best fantasy (6th QB) player after the Saints game.
I don’t know, dude. You looking for a fight? It was just a thought I’ve always had.Why would they do that? There are others they can do it with that are better at it. Taysom Hill is a freaking stud. I was t saying otherwise. I wasn’t saying he should be a starting QB. I was saying that when the Steelers drafted him, 6 years ago, I had hoped they’d use him like that some. Man, you just want to fight don’t you? I wasn’t even saying the Steelers SHOuLd have don’t that. You’re arguing points I am not making. I said I hoped the STEELERs would have done that years ago. I “hoped” . I have lots of delusional hopes. I hoped to be 6’5, I hoped to get a 2.0 one day. Hopes aren’t reality. No, no debate. There isn't one on him
My point was, he was one of the top 20 QBs. Opinions don't matter in that. And after the Saints game, his future opponents had enough film on him to put an end to his surprising play. No, don't want a "fight". Just trying to get you to understand my point. When he was drafted, Big Ben was rolling and they were lethal offensively. They had no reason to create a place or wrinkle at the time. Maybe if Dobbs would have shown brilliance with his athleticism in camp, they would have created a place for him. That didn't happen. I get your point. Me saying I hoped for something is different than saying they should have done it. I’m not saying they should have done it. I hoped for lots of things in life. Doesn’t mean it should have been reality. No, don't want a "fight". Just trying to get you to understand my point. When he was drafted, Big Ben was rolling and they were lethal offensively. He’s had 2-3 solid games in the NFL as a starter, though. Those numbers can be misleading. He had some interceptions dropped and also had some short passes where his guy made plays with the ball. He had a short little run where he did better than expected but I’d say he is where he should be.My point was, he was one of the top 20 QBs. Opinions don't matter in that.
