Expound.

Its almost like you find that to be a fruitless statement.

Itching to disprove it?

You are telling me to prove something that doesn't exist, doesn't exist. It's like a bad Monty python skit. The burden of proof is not on a null hypothesis, but on the alternative.

My proof ends with, "else not reject."

Prove you exist.

Prove we are not all a dream of yours.

Prove your all not my dream.

I think, therefore I am.

I'm reading this forum. One cannot read in a dream, as that comes from the opposite hemisphere of the brain.

you are reading this forum, so likewise you are not dreaming.

And these "debates" are never a rational exchange of ideas, or for very long. They always devolve into the "You're wrong!" nonsense, which I believe is brought about by their insecurities in failing to support their own beliefs (instead of simply refuting others, which is far easier).

You're wrong! Had to do that.

I would say that "insecurity" falls more under the need that everything must be proven "right," as opposed to allowing someone to have their belief, and keep said belief.

If you are secure in your beliefs, you won't mind that someone else has another belief. However, you might still debate with the individual, not to prove them wrong, or to prove yourself right, but to give the other side the benefit of your own.

And, as I haven't finished reading this thread yet, this question may have been answered, and if so, I apologize. That said, where do you stand?

If this world is a dream then the dreams you have are not real dreams but your dream tricking you into believing it is a dream. How better to do that than to make certain things not possible?

I can't fly in this "world" but maybe in the real world when I wake up I will be able to fly. Maybe when we die we actually come out of this dream and into the real world.

If all of you are my dreams, I am a ridiculously screwed up individual. Whoever had me committed to the institution where I remain drugged, in a soft cell and fed through a tube did the absolute right thing.

I am also a masochist, apparently, as I have only witnessed one national title, and yet have been around for two for Alabama.

The neuron that created Terrance Cody should be burned with LSD.

Ok, I suppose there is no way to know I am dreaming the factoid of reading while dreaming up.

Maybe your wife was bi-polar and you killed her and are in an insane asylum and don't even know it and right now this converation is happening in your head while you stare at clouds rolling by outside your window.

Do you need to see God? Hear his voice audibly?

Your not saved because you have seen or heard God. Your saved by his grace through your faith in Jesus Christ.

There were many who walked with Jesus (God) on earth. They witnessed things above man's ability, and the fulfillment of OT prophecy, some of them didn't believe.

As to your second question. Yes

You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.

Romans 14:10

Can you effectively and empirically prove the existence of God?

If not now, when?

If not ever, why debate and/or "spread the word".

D. Where are you? There is no middle. Agnosticism doesn't exist.

Contrary to IP's assertions, I am entirely uncertain.

In some fleeting moments, I can believe either - or neither - and sometimes, even both. But then I fall back on reason, and realize the folly of trying to figure it out, either way.
