Yeah, Kimbrel couldn't place his fastball tonight but oddly enough his slider was overwhelming even for the best hitter in baseball in Pujols. Pujols put it in play and it found a hole... certainly was not a hard-hit, driven ball that Pujols will typically do.

This is what I hate about managers.

Linebrink doesn't have it. You can't screw around here. Take him out of the game, bring in someone else.

But Frediot will keep him in there, Linebrink will give up a gaper, and this game will be over.

He was pretty good till about the end of July. Then he got hurt and has sucked since then. Luckily Vizcaino will take his spot in the postseason.

And...Fredi doesn't take him out. SMH

Linebrink looks scared to death. It's better to give up a slam right here than to walk in the winning run.

Nice sweep at the hands of the team immediately behind you in the standings, Braves. They really have the killer instinct.

We are starting 4 rookie pitchers out of six. Derek Lowe is God awful. The lineup hasn't been consistent. Martin Prado hasn't done anything since June. Brian McCann hasn't hit since his injury. Jason Heyward can't put a consistent streak together. Dan Uggla has cooled off. Our bullpen outside the big three is struggling.

Just a lot of things are going wrong right now.

That sucks...can they be fixed before the postseason (If we make it)?

It really has been different to watch Gonzalez move guys in and out of the lineup, up and down in the batting order, etc. over the last few weeks. The contrast with Bobby Cox could not be sharper. There's absolutely no indication that there's any overarching plan at all.

No. We are either going to have A) Derek Lowe starting game 2 for us or B) Have Mike Minor start game 3 for us.

The lineup can be fixed. THe pitching cannot.
