Agreed. The perverbial sprint versus a stroll.

I have had to stay out of the football forum since about 3:45 or whenever JH went down. I dunno how the mods do it here, having to watch the games with frustration while at the same time manage the mentally unstable posting about their messiah-esk dreams and visions of Vol football in their morning toast -- of which they have framed, hung above the dining room table, and invited third and fourth cousins over to witness.

Sounds like you've got it pretty much figured out. :)

Not today. Got a win. Knocked a day off the calendar. 4 up with 10 to play.

I think, and hope they will make the playoffs. They are picking a bad time to be so awful. Maybe they are getting it out of their system. They could have really put some distance over stl this last couple week, but have so far blown it. Do you know when we get the rest of the starting pitching back? Sorry for being so negative the past few days. My apologies.

Braves better watch out or they will lose the wild card! Sure hope not. Power and pitching needs to come together down the stretch. Would like to see a 5-6 game win streak before the season is over and put the Cardinals away.

Season's over. And this is coming from a positive fan. They hadn't had the soul crushing loss yet of epic season ending collapses. This was the one.

The sun will still rise in the morning and the Braves will still have a 2 1/2 game lead.

Disastrous. Just freaking disastrous.

I don't know that I'm going to throw in the towel yet, but the schedule certainly works in the Cardinals' favor.

The Braves have two more against the Marlins, three against their eternal nemeses, the Nats, and three against the Phillies. The Cardinals have three with the Mets, three with the Cubs, and three with the Asstros.

The high chopper right before the HR may have been one of the flukiest plays I've ever seen.

Even if they make the post season they appear to already be done. Kimbrel has given up his second and third HRs of the year in the last two nights. He was about the only remaining highlight.

7-12 in Sept. Rock it out, boys.

I feel like they packed it in when they had the nine game lead.. For instance when Chipper took the day off because he had a cold and responded by saying you can do those things with a 9 game lead. They packed it in. But I still think we back into the playoffs

Wow...that is unfortunate...
