Fredi Gonzalez is a latino Phil Fulmer. It's almost uncanny.

Good news. It's Hudson vs. Blanton tonight and the Phillies are probably going to throw there whole staff, so hopefully at least one of them has a bad outing.

Brett Myers has a 1.23 ERA over the last 29.1 IP and .490 OPS against him. He's also dominated the Phillies this year in 2 starts with a 1.20 ERA, allowing only 2 runs in 15 IP. He is facing a tough opponent in Chris Carpenter, but this gives the Astros a decent chance of winning.

The problem is that there just weren't any other options. The injuries to Jurrjens and Hanson have killed them.

...but you can't overlook the fact that St Louis has played .750 baseball for the last month. If they had merely just played a little over their heads, the Braves would have gotten away with playing like cap.
