According to Elias, if the Braves make the playoffs they will become the team with the worst September win % of all time to get in.

I like Ozzie, and honestly prefer his personality type over a guy like FG. I would have been elated to have this guy. I would venture OG wouldnt let this team sleep through September.

*On today's gameday: This is the first stretch in a while where I haven't enjoyed Braves baseball. Even that first year we missed the playoffs, we still had Frenchy and Mac coming up, and things to look forward to on that team.

This year's team features guys in Chipper and Lowe who make around ~30mil this season, and would struggle to make many MLB rosters. [much less a #3 hitter and an opporunity to go 9-17].

This team has some promising youth. Lets hope our new coach can help garner them into a winning ball club.

Whoa, Chipper has a .278/.348/.476 with 18 homers. I wouldn't call him a waste by any means, especially for a 3rd baseman. And that OBP will rise once we get rid of Larry Parrish.

It really did. I thought the park was looking good, and then "BOOM!" Braves down and out.

Made the mistake of looking at O'Brien's twitter feed to see if he's posted the lineup yet. I see he's already blathering about how you can't get rid of Lowe because you owe him $15m next year. Apparently eating $7m for Kawakami was a smart move, but $15m for Lowe would be insane. Idiocy.

I'm thisclose to not watching the game tonight because of this. The biggest game of the year, the biggest ****ing game of the year, the game that is going to put you in the playoffs or not, and you take out the guy with a .372 OBP this month.

O'brien just tweeted it works out well when they bring in Hamels...When do they plan on doing that?
