Jurrjens wouldn't have any trade value at all right now, coming off an injury and with low velocity.

You could always put him on the DL for awhile, rehab him in AAA, and then bring him back up to showcase and then flip him once his effectiveness comes back. But I think they'll send Delgado down and hope Jurrjens works through it.

Agree and agree. Jurrjens is a gamer..I want him to do well. He doesn't have great stuff though. When he doesn't have his command, he's average.

I would love to see JJ look like the guy from last season pre All Star break, but he is a long way away from that right now. It's not doing the team or JJ any good to keep on trotting him out there and watch him get lit up over and over.

Down to a three run game, tying run at the plate.......and Durbin up in the bullpen.

Modern bullpen management is idiotic. The game is on the line right now. Venters or Kimbrell.

Durbin was the only guy up. If Martinez had given up another hit, Durbin would have been coming in with the go-ahead run at the plate. Insane.

I complain about this several times a year, but it drives me crazy every time a manager loses a game with his fifth best reliever out there just because it's not the predetermined 8th or 9th situation yet. Use your best guys when the game is on the line, whenever that is.
