"Ya know he just got up and we thought we'd throw him right in there, get his feet wet."

You can't hear Fredi yet?

That's straight out of the Bobby Cox managerial playbook. Love it or hate it, it's part of why Bobby was considered a "player's manager". He always expected Tommy Gregg to come through in his next at bat, always expected Jim Clancy to retire the side in order.......

Not saying that my history of posts is worth following, but it's pretty well documented on this server that I am not Bobby Cox's biggest fan.

Anyone been to a game in Gwinnett? I know it's on the north side of Atlanta but I'm not sure how far?

It's a nice little stadium. Maybe an hour from Turner, depending on traffic. It's a good place for a cheap family outing. They have cheap general seating in the outfield on the grass

Never been to a game at Coolray but I've been by there a million times. Looks like a really cool place to watch a game.

I've been meaning to get over to Louisville Slugger Field and watch a Bats game, but still haven't made it. Looks like a super-cool place to watch a game.

Totally off topic, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I saw the Bats play the Indianapolis Indians in Indy last year. That has to be the neatest minor league park I've ever seen. It's a miniature Camden Yards.

Went to one last year. It's about as far away as the Smokies are to Knoxville. It was a good time, but there's other stuff I'd rather do around here.

All right, home from the bar, family's in bed, ready to settle in and watch some frigging offense. I still harbor a primeval hatred for the Dodgers dating back to when the Braves were in the NL West that you young guys probably don't get at all.

Unfortunately I turned the TV on just in time to see Rivera launch one to Glendale.

The first team I ever hated was the Dodgers. When I was 9, Garvey, Cey and Sax were the bad guys and I was pretty sure Tommy Lasorda was the Antichrist.

First baseball team I ever hated too. You'd be hard pressed to find a player I ever detested more than Pedro Guerrero.

(Based on nothing, of course, other than the fact that he always destroyed the Braves.)

Oh Chipper how I wish you would stay healthy.. Dude went DEEP again. Going to miss the ole boy, it is going to weird.

I remember when Chipper was drafted as a shortstop.. I was 5
