It was close but I think he got in. But it's quite a leap to assume there would have been 2-3 runs.
That would be like me saying the called 3rd strike on Beltran and Craig cost us 2-3 runs. Close calls are baseball.

What I was saying was that because of a lack of replay, which would have shown Bourn was in, the Braves could have scored a couple runs if Heyward gets a hit.

I actually thought those were legit calls on the strike/balls. I'm also a Braves fan.

My complaining was more lack of replay.

I understand and I agree they were both to close to take. But if the K-zone box thing is accurate they were just off the plate. But again, with 2k's you don't take those.

Exactly. You are taught since middle school that you expand your zone with two strikes. You can't take those pitches. Annoys me when all ballplayers do that.

This has been a great series and I've really enjoyed watching this series.

Hanson is looking good. He's hit 92 MPH 3-4 times today on his fastball.

By the way, Chipper is 13 RBI away for most by third basemen in MLB history.

Incredible.

"If it was B.Y.O.B. I would know what we were talking about."

My seats are behind 1st base dug out so it's hard to see balls/strikes. Have all the games been this inconsistent behind the plate?

Yes. For both teams. It was really bad Friday night.

Great battle. Just left the fastball inside that Heyward guessed right.

This is the 1st time he's looked bad this season. His last outing he only went 5 but we had such a big lead Matheny pulled him to rest his arm. I know this is his 1st time as a starter in the bigs, but I didn't like that move. I hope this early in the season they let him try and work himself out of this. I think to often mgrs pull young pitchers to quick. They can learn a lot about themselves in games like this.

I love the Rangers philosophy on pitching. "He pitches till he says he is done."

Young pitchers have to learn to pitch without their A game. It's what makes the greats so...great.
