Go look up the putout totals. Griffey was an ordinarily great great CF. Jones got to 100 more balls a year.

All right, I looked it up. Griffey’s career high in putouts was 361. Andruw beat that 10 times, including five times over 400, including a career high of 492 (!).

A skill like that ought to be in the Hall of Fame. And it’s not as though the guy couldn’t hit.
