But hey Curt Schilling cant get in despite the highest K/BB ever for a starter, won a WS MVP, pitched one of the most iconic performance for a starter, broke THE CURSE, and has a 2 something ERA in 133 postseason IPs because hes a right wing conersative so who knows
I'm gonna guess that the reason Schilling isn't in has more to do with the fact that his three best seasons all came after the age of 34 than it does his politics. Cf. Roger Clemens.
I dont think Ive ever heard anything connecting Schilling to PEDs or voters mention that as a reason they dont vote for him.
Votto *maybe*... And definitely ichiro, if he is still "active"
Hell, lets just make it where if you make a large enough donation you can get anyone enshrined. Or just do participation enshrinements. This, plus I would include McCutchen for the same exact reason that I would say Murphy should be a surefire hall of famer for the Braves. When you get right down to it, the hall of fame is a tourist attraction and a players impact on a team and city should override some of the arguments against it such as longevity, etc. If I one day take my son to Cooperstown I want McCutchen to be in there the same way Verc and Gas generation of Braves fans would want Murphy in there in that same scenario.
dude, once again, a career sub 3 ERA is not equal to Andrews career pedestrian slash line.
