And then a week after finally moving back into your house full time after being a transplant for almost 6, your AC stops working during the worst continuous heat wave I can remember in some time...that definitely sucks.
Damn man, that sucks. Went through the same thing a couple weeks ago. Hope somebody can get out there and get it running soon.
Thanks man, definitely a rough time to be going through it because I'm sure that these companies are answering calls like this all over the place since people's units have been running nonstop for probably over a month straight.
I have a similar horror story though no where near as bad but yes, the service companies are struggling. I recommended to several different people that they hire more employees. Memphis light gas and water service line gave a busy signal all day yesterday. Was a joke
Sounds about right. Our current situation is a bit of a different story because when we bought the house last year we insisted on the seller (or his agent actually) pay for a year's worth of a home warranty that covers all the major equipment in the house since it was all right around 15 years old.
Good news about that is if we ended up needing a whole new system, we'd only be out of pocket $75 for a service fee. Bad news is that a) the warranty company tells the techs to do all that they can to patch the problem instead of replacing, new unit is absolute last resort for them, and b) going through the warranty company is not the quickest way to get someone out to look at it.
