The Chris Johnson of last year was a different Chris Johnson from his previous years. He developed a new approach at the plate. Maybe a handful of those flares to right don't drop for hits this season, but while protecting the outer half and looking opposite field, he also still showed the ability to turn on the inside pitch and rope liners into the LC gap. Hard to match his BABIP from last year, but his new norm may be closer to .321/.358/.457 than .280/.330/.430. Meet in the middle of those and you get roughly .300/.345/.445

Defense is another story, but I'll take that at the plate.

Why is this a problem?

Just odd especially since it's two consecutive months. Gonna suck for them to get 4 games of Hale/Garcia potentially. It's early but still doesn't make sense

I think you're right. Several games in April/May and then nothing until August/September, IIRC.

It wasn't that he struck out that made me sad, everyone struck out today, but it was the pathetic/completely confused way in which he flailed at strike 3 that just hurt to watch.

Hopefully. I still think its a smart move that they're having the tourney in Nashville for the next few years. 30k seats is just too many for a conference where only one team is going to have a huge contingent of traveling fans. I can't imagine the GA Dome is an ideal setup for watching a BB game anyway.
