Does anyone know if Dr. Andrews does any sort of promotion on TJs? Buy 4, get the 5th one free? Maybe a punchcard or something?

just posted lotsa words before hearing the beachy news. hope he doesn't need that. :hi:

I just don't understand how there are so many of these surgeries. I have only been really keeping up with baseball (every day basis) for 8-10 years and seems like the numbers just keeps going up every year.

Were pitchers constantly going down for 10-12 months at a time this frequent before this surgery became the norm?

Is it guys throwing harder over longer stretches (age wise) of their careers? I just do not understand.

Then to have a guy have 2 in a few years....Seems you would change things in delivery and stress on arm after first one.

I never really thought Beachy could be counted on this year. The Santana deal had to happen.

Used to be that pitchers hurt their arms and just never came back. Or you never even heard of them because they never made the majors to begin with. One day you feel a pop and your arm goes dead and you quit and go sell insurance.

There may be something to the commonsense idea that pitchers' arms were stronger back when baseball was the dominant sport and kids grew up throwing all day every day instead of playing basketball and football and soccer and whatnot, but I think most of it is just that there used to be fewer teams and fewer pitchers per roster and everybody who didn't have a mutant arm got weeded out.

Sincere question: Is Jordy on the same page as the rest of the guys today?

Noticed when Maymon huddled the guys he would kinda turn away.

Jarnell is playing the post better than anybody at Tennessee since I started watching DEM VOLS in 2004.

If he continues to play like this.....................Tennessee has a chance to make some serious noise.
