Atlanta Police walkout

I just popped into this thread for a second to see what was up and really after page 2 I'd seen enough but after about 9 pages of reading I'm just wondering when the white supremacist collective in this thread is going to start chanting "you will not replace us"?

People in this thread saying "the cop was done wrong", "let Atlanta burn", "the cop should be given a medal". You all might be removed from situation through your laptops and phone screens but you sure as hell are contributing to the problem and the sad thing is half of you don't even know it or you do and you just don't give a shlt.

Shameful!

How about the DA saying a taser is a deadly weapon in Georgia two weeks ago? Can't have that go both ways to fit a narrative. All the defense needs to do is play that clip on repeat and it justifies the cops here. If it doesn't justify then the other cops get off in the taser case. Can't have that go both ways.

Noticed @Tyler Durden and @Septic skipped over the video of the DA saying a taser is a deadly weapon.

If you or I shot a guy and killed him for pointing what we knew to be a taser at us while he was running away, would/should we be charged with anything?
No and if yes, stand your ground would be the main defense and youd win. Hell a dude shot a guy that hit him with a skateboard and should get off. People who speak on tasers no being lethal has never been tased. I have and I can tell you it can cause serious harm.

edit: fixed for @hUTch2002 OCD

If I'm being honest with myself, I would probably do what this cop did. That doesn't mean I couldn't, or even shouldn't, have handled it differently.

Let me ask this, when does the police officer's safety matter more than the citizen's they are there to protect and serve? While it can certainly be argued that a taser in that situation can be lethal, it is without argument that the police officer's pistol absolutely is lethal.

Let me be clear...this by no means excuses what Brook's did. He is absolutely culpable. While the shooting may be legally justified, there is debate as to whether it should be legally justified in this case. This guy wasn't out raping and killing and causing mayhem. He was a little drunk, but cordial and polite with the officers all the way up until the cuffs came out, and then made a really dumb and stupid mistake. He paid for that mistake with his life. I don't think that mistake is worth a life.

When the citizen decides to harm the officer with potential lethality is your answer.

All I see in America today is South Park's Captain Hindsight who comes along with his 3 sidekicks, would of, could of, and should of.... and there is no real leadership anywhere, from any side, or entity. To be living in such a time of technology and information, society is getting dumber and dumber by the day and more easily manipulated than ever.

You really have no clue how anything works in the real world. And it’s clear you’ve never been tazed let alone been in a real fight for your life

Was learning how to be an internet tough guy part of your Kelly Services security Para-professional training or something you picked up over on Storm front?

Pay attention to what he says, in the real world if you had ever been in a real fight for your life....you might do something like, I don't know, "attack a man with a gun".

It was a less than lethal weapon, right?
Technically thats not really a thing.

A few years ago in Florida some chick got tasered running from cops, dropped like a rock, hit her head, became a vegetable and died. In your neck of the woods if I am not mistaken. Ive read stories of people getting tasered and having heart attacks.

It's not nearly as complicated as several on here seem to want to make it out to be.

Where I'm from and anywhere I have ever been to in my life, that includes in country or out of country ... if I had just committed a crime or was committing a crime and I resisted arrest and started fighting and wrestling with police, took the police officers taser and fired it at them or even just pointed it at them while running away ... I would fully expect to have my ass shot ! And I would know damn good and well that I had it coming to me !

And for any of you bleeding hearts that feel differently, I highly suggest you stay crime free and obey the law here in the real world, or have a helluva lot better escape plan than this dumbass did.

A-****in-men

That dude knew he was going to be going right back to prison. Just like Floyd. Fight or flight time..

And here it is, the winner.......you going to be a bad boy then be a big boy when your hand is caught in the cookie jar. Play with fire, get burned. Take responsibility and say you got me, today. I'll get my chance in court tomorrow.

No, being a real man and handling your lumps is the one consistent thing criminals do not do. They run, they hide, they try to escape the reality of accountability for their actions.

I’m sure we could post hundreds of examples of crimes against police and others that you wouldn’t give two ***** about.

The DA has very likely already ruined the case and that's one example. Telling everyone the other cop was a state's witness when that isn't the case was a bad move as well. Seems like he jumped the gun on this, if you're going to come after the cops you better have your ducks in a row and it seems he doesn't.

I have no problem with the DA threatening the death penalty. Happens to everyone else accused of a capital offense pre-trial so why should cops be any different? Let em have a taste of their own medicine.

That right?
Both were felons. Good chance they are gonna go back to jail if they get arrested. I figure most of these dudes dont have much to live for to begin with and once the prospect of going back to prison is becoming a reality its time to fight or run. The Atlanta guy who got shot was a child abuser so something tells me his time in prison probably wasn't that great.

Playing to emotion is what that DA did.

Yep. Zero sh!ts and f##ks given by me. Reap what you sow. Almost everyone who finds themselves in an interaction with the police put themselves there in that situation.

The DA is going to get toasted in court (poor ada that has to present it) on both groups of cops (taser agg assault and shooting). He will lose his election and might get disbarred when it's all over. I'd like to hear @lawgator1 opinion on a DA wrongly charging someone due to politics while openly being dishonest.

The DA shouldnt threaten death penalty because he has nothing to do with that. He doesnt sentence. The law is the law and that's determined outside of the DA office.
