Just wanted to send out a personal THANK YOU to the Auburn tigers and to coach Gene Chizik and his staff. They have single handedly helped Tennessee athletics more than anything we could've done for ourselves. Their attempts of building a championship caliber team by ANY means possible has allowed the spotlight to shift away from us and onto them. A luncheon at Bruce's house and a few lies about it looks like nothing compared to paying someone to play. Great news. Keep it up tigers. War Eagle.:clapping::hi:

Syracuse and Michigan State lost exhibition games last year also. Guess they went into the toilet the rest of the year.

They haven't but the NCAA is digging, hell the feds are even involved to a degree right now. Every program has its share of skeletons in the closet and with the media attention, what are the chances the NCAA comes out empty handed?

Don't get this argument. Nothing has been proven and we won't know for sure fo months probably. Until then, and if auburn wins a natl. champ., that's just another prominent team in the SEC that will make our lives more difficult.

Thanking them is the last thing I'd do.

I would typically agree, but Joe Schad is a pretty respected journalist so its not like it Douche McGouche posting it to a blog in his parents basement. Too much smoke not to at least be a little fire.

Looks like things are pretty shady but if money was exchanged....it was more than warranted, the kid has single handedly put Auburn at the top of the college football world. He's a superstar and the school is raking in the $$$, why doesn't he deserve some??

The rules such and are exploitation IMO, I realize the kids are getting an education and scholly but the revenue in versus the tuition out is ridiculously not proportionate....
