Auburn vs. Oregon - Official BCS National Championship Game Thread

Auburn was 5-7 in 2008 when they picked up a bunch of the players that just won the NC. As another poster said, players want to go to the best conference, and whether you feel this way or not, at least some excellent players view Tennessee as on the rise. Geez, give the negativity a rest - you're really getting boring.

The circumstances that allowed them to pick up those players will be the evidence that voids the win tonight.

Ran a train? Come on. Gifted game from AL. Awful officiating and Mallett out AR Auburn. Struggled mightily with garbage early. Much fortune to keep that awful D from killing them.

By the grace of god but underrated in the SEC nonetheless.

Oregon either gets the respect for keeping it tight or the sec is no better than the PAC 10 at the top. It has to be one or the other.

Is Dooley going to pay $200,000 for the next Cam Newton in a couple of years?

Auburn won this game for two reasons:

1. Thomas played like a biatch.

2. Chip Kelly's arrogance.

7-13 BCS titles go to the SEC

9-13 BCS Titles go to teams in the South East

11-13 BCS Title games had a team from the South East playing in it.

Ill never understand why Pac 10 teams and Big 10 teams think the best football is played in the North and West

*smh*

Beat team in the SEC killed MSU. They laid down a little, but they were massively more talented than Auburn. One and done yields odd results. This was one.

Oregon was a solid offense, but defense was lame.

Either way my dream scenario is halfway there... Now the NCAA needs to come through and vacate this nc.

where are those oregon fans saying AU has not seen anything like their offense before?? SEC >>> Pac-10

How is this a sign of sec better than PAC 10? This game was like watching two drunk chicks pillow fight.

Only two players w any guts were fairley and maehl

I think if these 2 teams and TCU played a round robin tournament they would probably all have one loss and one win.

But who would be team number 4? Ohio State and Wisconsin are not the calibur of these 2 so TCU beating Wisconsin is nice but I have a hard time seeing them beat Auburn or oregon.

The notion that an Auburn championship makes recruiting easier for UT has to be the most idiotic thing I've ever seen here. The Gabe Wright recruitment just got a Hell of a lot tougher.
