'24 AZ EDGE Elijah Rushing (Oregon commit)

Recruiting is selling, not brainwashing. You can't change a person's value system, you can only present your product in best possible light within their value system. Arizona possesses something that Tennessee cannot provide: the opportunity to play with his brother. If that is his #1 decision metric, then it was over before it started. A rational person would look at how we got his attention at the last minute and view that as a positive, but that obviously won't placate some of you.

Meh - I like the way the class looks so far. Missing on guys at this point in the cycle is pretty standard. Some of these will be flip candidates later, some will get hurt, some will have crappy senior seasons. There are always other dudes.
There are also dudes who aren't on anyone's radar yet, but blow up during/after their senior season. I expect we'll see a few of those and hope we're in on them now. . . kinda like Leacock. I really think he was probably the best WR, or at least in the top3 WRs in his class.

I’m so glad I have been busy with work, tball game, church and death in the family so I missed those who are suicidal over not getting a guy that no one thought was possible a couple weeks ago.

It’s been fun, but now it’s time to move on to finding out who the next Vol will be.

Zona was 5-7 overall, 3-6 in conference. Staying home or whatever you want to say, truth is you have to win these battles. Especially to sub-par teams like this.
Yeah, I mean it's only a couple thousand miles away. His family could probably fly in about 8 people for every home game or maybe they could leave on Wednesday and drive to get here by game time.

Started getting the Sunday edition of KNS in 1980. Living about 100 miles north of Memphis we would get very little coverage of the previous day’s game.
Still have my copy of the Sugar Vols and ’98 National Championship.

we can’t be too far apart I’m in Union City

with your obviously sincere Orange heart you can make this happen by increasing your NIL payments up to 6 figures with it dedicated to this recruit and his brother. Looking forward to your screenshot of the cancelled check. Whatever, You have to back up statements like yours with action. You are on the clock.

Went 5-7 last year. I can’t see them doing better than that this year. Mayyybe 6-6. But I doubt it.

Absolute best case scenario for them is likely 6 wins. Fanduel has them at 4.5 so they may be even worse... their offense was pretty decent last year but the defense was horrendous. The thought process I've seen is "well the defense has to be better." but we've all seen how that can play out.
