Baby Boomers U.S. Worst Generation?

You're right. The millenials if they are so altruistic, should be wanting to pay 90% of their income in taxes to fix the problem. And the deficit has accelerated only recently to the degree that we now see it. Of course I guess the BBs are responsible for the out of control consumer debt that is strangling everybody too? gtfo. I have zero debt and pay way more than my fair share of taxes. You're welcome.

Never claimed they were ultra altruistic
The majority of millenials have only been a part of the political machine for a short time
We are painting with a big brush so you can very we'll be different then the generation you have been randomly assigned to
Debt free as well and not sure how my personal finances can be used to represent everyone

To give an idea of the explosion in debt.. Ford one year had a 3 billion deficit in one year...Glory years

So your putting the explosion of debt at the feet of millenials? How many millenials hold any position of power in our government? What percentage of the voting public do they represent?

Considering that the oldest millennials are now just creeping into their mid-30s, I'd say their effect is minimal but rising. Most of our current problems have been a long-time coming, although it is the unique gift of every generation to contribute a new set of problems and a new set of solutions to the fray. Which set will triumph, the problems or the solutions, we'll see.

No.. The explosion of debt stated with Reagan and continues to this day.. We continue to have record revenue, but continue to speed more and more...Its insane

The big difference I see in the Baby Bombers and Millenials is both have/had dreams. The Baby Boomers worked to achieve their dreamss, the Millenials think the world owns them their dreams

There are some very good millenials, however the majority are the laziest creatures God ever put on Earth.

Says the old man who sat on his hands asking nobody to rock the boat and didn't want to hold anyone accountable while the spending shot up and up and up.

And it's usually the older ones who line up to shout down anyone who wants to do something about it. Scared the house of cards you and previous generations have built will come crashing down.

You are the poster boy for this mentality.

I wish I belonged to a group (don't claim X), I'm in between millenials and baby boomers so I cant be blamed for ****

Speaking as a boomer, the national debt was 5 trillion dollars when Bush became president. his promise was to reduce that by 1/2. I did not think that was enough. This debt was created recently. I don't think the congress and President should have the authority to spend more revenues than they take in.

Rocking the boat is fine, it needs to be rocked. The actions of Cruz and the Congressional Tea Party members was not rocking the boat, it was stupidity and the polls show the majority agrees with me. As you have noticed, that group is sitting on their hands now, that we are nearing election year. Anyone who think they have all the answers to our problems and not willing to budge is an idiot. That was how Cruz and the Tea Party was acting.

You want change, get the money out of DC. We will never have any meaningful change as long as lobbyist are running wild and without strong campaign finance reform. How is that going to happen as long as we have the wolves guarding the hen house?

Then it's an entitlement.

Not everyone is paying in and the ones who are supposed to are even skipping their payments. Still being ignored are the trends of millions who are still uninsured with this magical legislation.

I don't understand why you continue to trot out talking points and assumptions that have been proven wrong repeatedly.
Using your logic all health insurance, including that acquired from private companies, is an entitlement since anyone who has a serious disease is going to get more out of his/her policy than they paid.

I believe it's your logic that doesn't stand up.

You voluntarily opt-in to health insurance.

Whatever you want to label it, it's horse ****. SS is the biggest heist of the 20th century, and it's in financial trouble because in general, people are collecting more than they paid in. Furthermore, it has had a bad habit of taking money from blue-collar/lower skilled workers and transferring it to wealthier people (generally speaking). If you don't want to watch the explanation, basically if you are blue collar, you start working full time at 18 and then work until you can collect social security, so 47 years. Then you probably die relatively young, so you collect for a relatively short time, say 10 years for the sake of this discussion. So what happens to all the $ that guy paid in and didn't collect? Well, a trust fund baby who spent 7 years in college and retired at 55 (only worked for 30 years) is going to collect for 30 years because he lives longer than the blue-collar guy. It's a total scam that bleeds the middle and lower-middle class.

Now calculate how much more medicare that trust fund baby is using and double the leaching.
