Bad News about Tobias Harris...

This sort of isolated incident is just silly to make much out of. You guys should have seen me when we were getting stomped by Kentucky in the SEC semi's.

Maybe you should call CBP and discuss it with him. I am sure he would like to get your input on the potential implosion of next year's team. Any advice you could give him would be much appreciated by all those involved! :birgits_giggle:

Incase you missed it dumb ass I was giving an opinion on what I have seen from Mcrae and if you seen the kid play you would of came to the same conclusion but the more I think about it you probably wouldnt.

The outburst is not the highlight of Harris' career. It was a bit over the top, but it wasn't as bad as some of you are making it out to be. Contrary to what some people would like you to believe, this weekends behavior is not a representation of his attitude.

For those of you who want to see the play and the tech, here it is.

This kind of behavior is totally uncalled for. I know everyone on Vol Nation never acted immature in high school and were model citizens.

Give me a break. The kid didn't commit a crime or make some type of foot in mouth comment. Having some passion on the court would be a nice contrast from the apathy we've seen at times from our players.

I agree and I think CBP can change his attitude, also if this is the worst thing he's done I'm not worried.

Yeah since Bruce has changed so many kids attitudes before right? All that ends up happening is after their third strike of drugs or whatnot, they finally get kicked off the team.

Somehow I don't think being pissed at the end of a state championship game=being on drugs. But maybe that's just me.

It's close. Showing extreme emotion is doing to the game of basketball what meth is doing to low income homes across our country.

Oh great...looks like our friends to the north have latched onto this story.

Someone needs to go on there and ask them what's the difference with their cry baby DeMarcus Cousins?

Cousins is a thug for complaining,Tobias is just passionate for his "I want mu mommy" tirade ?

It has nothing to do with drugs or criminal behavior, but it reflects a tremendous amount of immaturity that will not serve him well at UT. He seemed to be much more mature in previous info about him. This is 3rd grade behavior.

Thanks for posting. I envisioned something totally different from the article. That was nothing.

I just think our basketball future is over because our recruit got mad at the end of a game. Looking at the video, this is nothing that deserves much attention. I'm sure we'd find much worse conduct if we looked at other high school players.

He was just on Basilio's show. He pointed out--as was noted here--that there was a huge foul disparity in the game and it got to him a bit too much.

It's just an interview, but I didn't hear the spoiled brat that some of you are fretting about.

Good grief....the article made it sound like he was lying on the floor kicking and screaming like a 2 yr old for like several minutes. What he did was really nothing imo. Just showing emotion and getting caught up in the moment that's all. I'm not the least bit worried about it, especially now.

Didn't read all 9 pages, so I don't know if this was said already, but here's my take:
It's not acceptable behavior, but he is a kid, and we all did things that were childish when we were kids. Apparently he is an emotional, passionate dude and really wants to win. I can dig that. He's going to have to learn from it and grow up a bit, but it will happen.
What would you rather see? This, or him sitting over on the bench in foul trouble laughing, cutting up, and horsing around?

I've known Tobias Harris for nearly 3 years. In all that time, I've seen him play probably 70 games. I've never seen anything other than great sportsmanship and class from Tobias.

Yes, his dad can live thru his son and Tobias sometimes even cringes at the things that happen.....

But Tobias Harris is a class act all the way. He's a tremendous player and an even better person. He'll make UT fans proud.

The incident that caused him to get ejected was regrettable, but definitely not worthy of the ridiculous hype that resulted. The bad call cost his team the State Title..... it's somewhat understandable.

But, I'm a UK fan, so what do I know....:)
