I wonder if the local businesses insurance policies covered civil unrest. Seems the "heroes" in blue did little to "protect and serve" they simply cowered on the next block.
You want to lead the charge into that crowd?
Had they gone in using force, you would have whined about that.
They backed off without resorting to overwhelming force, you whine about that.
Are you satisfied a bunch of cops got injured?
I, again, think that protests are warranted, even encouraged, if a group feels themselves to be wronged. And in this case, there certainly does need to be an in depth investigation and appropriate charges placed once it's concluded.
But it's a sad day when we expect looting to go on after such incidents.

It's a sad day when that seems to be the only thing that works. Police brutally is nothing new in Baltimore. Between 2011 and 2015 the government has paid out about $5.7 million to victims of police brutality. Numerous protests. Numerous investigations. Zero change.
As much as it pains me to say it, it's beginning to look like rioting is the only way to get real change here.
