To be fair it probably should’ve been a penalty. The intent was to punch the ball out though. He also attempted to chop the ball out of his hands as well. I would’ve been fine being penalized there if they call even half the holds and PIs against us.

Actually that's the way it appeared to me live as well. The runner looked like he had twisted his body in a way that still was NOT "down" and the movement was to "down" the runner. It admittedly was a violent move and looked worse than it was IMO.

I HATE it when defenders try and strip the ball instead of just tackling the ball carrier. It's drive me as crazy as when coaches go to a prevent defense late in games when only leading by one score or less. Drives me right up a wall.
