Bama radio claims noise piped in at Neyland

I already posted this in another thread, but this was the first play after a change of possession and a TV timeout. All UT did was run out and line up in their formation - I.e., no substitution. Bama never could decide on their lineup and had people running on and off the field before the coach told the player to take a dive.
There were already eleven men on the field for Alabama before the player came in and fell down.

Bama coaches are standing by the "injury"

What Alabama’s Kane Wommack said about ‘fake injury’ in Tennessee loss

We tell guys, if you’re injured, if you’re hurt, if you’re pulling up with a cramp, you have to go down in that situation,” Wommack said. “We’re not able to substitute someone when a team is going fast, so if you’re injured, the protocol there is for the guy to go down. Our training room does a tremendous job. They got a guy back after however long it was.”

What about when a guy is standing on the sideline and runs on the field to lay down?

What a bunch of dirt bags. They don’t have the character to just say they lost. They almost always paint themselves as the victims of some nefarious plot. It’s the refs, it’s fake crowd noise, it’s the NCAA and the FBI plotting against them. Just another reason to hate Bama.
You should read this board after one of our losses. Ideally that will be quite a while from now.

If I remember correctly the bama defense was standing over the ball on the same drive near the goal line so our guys couldn’t line up and snap the ball off.

It was right after the deep ball that set us up 1st and goal. The officials finally made them move. I may be mistaken but I believe they got an extra timeout at the end. They called a timeout on the 4th and 22 as the play clock was running out and then were stopped. When we got the ball they still had all 3 timeouts.

When are we all going to learn that anyone associated with Alabama football just has zero tolerance for any kind of questionable behavior when it comes to the sport of football?!

AJ mccarron...most overated QB in bama history. Surrounded by literally NFL talent, managed to get drafted but only held a clipboard for a few years because he didn't have the talent around him.

I did think it was cute his momma used to take up for him on social media though.

Maybe she will send me a mean tweet? 🤣

You know that BAMA week was huge success for the Vols when you get to listen to all sorts of excuses coming from that sh**hole state to the south the week after.

I posted the same on a Yahoo chat. Some Gump still insisted that UT substituted coming out of the TO and that Bama had a right to substitute a 12th man.
The ref explained it as a player CANNOT come off the field and come back in. If he goes to the sideline, he must be substituted FOR. Cannot be the same player. That is why illegal substitution.

The record is 142.2 decibels recorded at Arrowhead Stadium. Alabama are just sore losers. Just more evidence of what is actually learned there....poor sportsmanship!

Yes, you are correct. Someone (don’t know if it was the SEC or NCAA) had a rule for a few years that the home team could be penalized if the crowd noise was “too loud.” I don’t ever recall a penalty being called or enforced, but there were many times where the fans were “warned” that if they didn’t quiet down, the defense would be penalized. The officials would actually hold up the game waiting for the crowd to get quieter - which usually resulted in us getting louder, not quieter. After a few years the powers that be realized the idiocy of the rule and dropped it.
That sounds right. I still have a mental picture of Bear Bryant on the sidelines with that place going crazy.

I have but I have never seen our fans and program try to have an opposing coach served with a subpoena preventing him from attending SEC media days. I’ve never seen our fans shoot each other because they weren’t upset enough about a loss and I have never seen our fans poison trees on a rival’s campus. Bama fans are unrivaled when it comes to unhinged stupidity.
