Bama radio claims noise piped in at Neyland

I posted the same on a Yahoo chat. Some Gump still insisted that UT substituted coming out of the TO and that Bama had a right to substitute a 12th man.
The ref explained it as a player CANNOT come off the field and come back in. If he goes to the sideline, he must be substituted FOR. Cannot be the same player. That is why illegal substitution.
Either way the idiot announcers and rules official complaining that Bama didn't have time to "sub" on the first damn play of a series was a level of idiocy rarely seen in the booth.

I heard we were eating their players.... spitting them out and then daring them to come at us again...

I got on YouTube and listened and watched the last quarter of their radio call.

I highly recommend watching it, it’s great to listen to them whine about calls. One guy on there was sure Brazzel’s td catch hit the ground! Admittedly I’ve watched it twice! Lol

The ones making that claim are embarrassing themselves! GBO!
Bama fans are used to that.

I am one of those blue-haired long-timers. I enjoy being part of the game noise experience and bring the noise on all four downs. Always have. Now, did I hear DeBoer dismiss the Neyland effect last week before the game? Yes. Did I deliberately increase my personal volume during the game thinking about his comment? Maybe. I do know I was louder for bama than for the gators.

Here is what Stewart had to say in an interview today about his comments during the game:

“I didn’t think about it when I said it. And somebody with nothing to do decided to go back and find a clip from a four-hour broadcast.”

“I misspoke, but it really wasn’t, in theory, off. I said that you have 100,000 (fans) and piped-in crowd noise. Which is not what I should have said. What I should have said is amplified noise. And that’s clear they do it. They’ve got speakers all on the field level behind our benches pointing toward the stands.”

“It was extremely loud and it absolutely adds to the noise level, which was my point, although I may have misphrased, but that’s a fact.”

“It had zero to do with Alabama losing the football game. I never once said that it did. That was something that fans choose to do. And they’ve won now twice in the last 18 years. And rather than celebrate, they opted to pick that. It really wasn’t anything meant derogatory towards Tennessee. It was not an excuse. It was a comment about the noise in that moment.”

He couldn't even say I misspoke and leave it at that. He had to add the '...with nothing to do...' comment, like he thinks no one noticed it when he said it. He also references the PA system in Neyland and specifically mentions the speakers pointed towards the stands as proof that we use 'amplified noise', which is apparently what he REALLY meant say. He's so butt-hurt, that he throws in the 'twice in 18 years' comment. You know what Chrissy baby, we've won the last 2 out of 3 too, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. I hate Bammers...

On the other hand, here is what Jalen Milroe said about the noise:

“We do got to acknowledge that it was a great crowd that we just played in front of,” Milroe said after the game. “One of the greatest crowds in the country. So it’s on us to control our controllables, understand our assignment, understand our snap count and understand what we need to do so that we can move forward when playing games like this.

“… Now we can reflect, now we can understand what it takes to win games like this and understand what we need to improve on. So, I thought today was very important for us.”

Well said Jalen. We ARE the greatest crowd in the country. Go Vols!
