Bama violations, again...

Nothing to hide except someone failed to do their job. They tightened policy and punished the 2 who's job it was to make sure nothing like this happened. You can see the NCAA letter and the UA response and figure out for yourself that the lesser sports make up for the majority of the mess. Alot of uses of the pronoun she involved. Hell, it could be worse, it could be 70 athletes and 25 football players as is the case at FSU.

One of the biggest violations is Failure to Monitor. That could be construed as a major violation. It's like the University was turning a blind eye. The letter from the NCAA was careful to mention that these were potentially major violations and went as far as to say that the violations were considered major unless it was notated as "secondary". I didn't see any of the violations listed referred to as secondary.

yeah i agree.. fsu is in deep doo now. but they aren't on probation. UA should've ran a tighter ship.

The Bama fans are in denial over this just as they were in the Means fiasco. This is a much bigger deal than they want to admit.

The punishment according to the NCAA was sufficient 2 years ago. The UA compliance staff has proved their case and as per NCAA policy, it will be probably 2 months bfore results are known. The only reason this is back in the news is because the University wouldn't release the documents out last Fall even though the scum that is the media kept requesting them.

Wait, so the media is unfairly covering the story? We welcome you to our humble club.

It really does not matter what any Alabama fan thinks about this situation. The NCAA will make a determination what the real story is. I have to wonder why the university suppressed the story when it should have been released? Their untruthfulness again might cause further investigation. And it looks like Auburn is going to make sure that there is a complete investigation this time.

I don't see where anyone stated that Alabama fans were going to impact the decision by the NCAA.

The reason requests for information were denied and the story was kept under wraps for as long as it was is because it would have impacted recruiting. The plan was to load up while they have the shcollies to do it. A 4 scholly reduction for a couple of years can have an even longer effect on recruiting.

No one did state that the fans were going to impact the decision and that is my point. But the Alabama fans come on here and try to frame the story to justify that Alabama, again, did no wrong. I am just saying that their opinion is irrelevant and the real story will come out in the end.

I think that the suppression of the story is in itself a cover-up and the other members of the SEC should call for an investigation and find out who was involved in this decision. Was the conference office involved? Did Slive know about the NCAA actions? Who helped Alabama keep the story under wraps?

Yes, God forbid the media try to expose cheating going on at Alabama. The nerve…

The next time I break the law, I'm going to tell the police it's their fault for catching me.

I have said this before Tenn. boosters are the ones who made the inquiry into this investigation. There is big time money up here in TN.Miles brand is associated heavily with UT and even though he has cancer he knows what fulmer knew. If you take out bama then you can get back into the national scene. People think I'm crazy. If this turns out to be more than anything than a slap on the wrist then people in the whole state of Alabama need to look at who your real enemyies are. It is TN. boosters and Miles Brand. I here this all the time and I live in Knoxvillle. They employee people in the state of Alabama to try and dig up anything they can to get bama or auburn out of the picture. This way they can pick off the recruits they want i.e. David Oku. Plus they want back in the state to pick off the top recruits. Jason Swain , Fred weary etc. are examples but the real reason is to cripple the states overall production of players to UA or even AU and get them to go somewhere else. DO NOT THINK for a second that this textbok scandal popped up coincedentally before the UT game back in 2006. For you au fans it was done on purpose. They will go after AU if given the opportunity but they will always choose to go after bama first. I honestly say cancel the UT game . It would cripple them and they would quit trying so hard to destoy our program. All I have heard this weeek is that bama is looking down the barrel AGAIN! People up here absolutely will do anything to get this done. "

The story line during preseason will still be Lane Kiffin and his energizing talks to boosters.
