1. Players love the coach who is coaching/playing them They have to say that or they don't get to play.

2. Recruits love the coach who is recruiting them. They have to say that or they don't get offered.

3. VFL love the coach who is making them feel important and letting them hang around the program. They have to say that or they don't get invited.

The above is generally true for any coach and not unique to CBJ at all.

4. You don't get to tell fans on team forum to shut up and stop criticizing just because you happen to support some particular coach/staff.

5. I take #4 back. We all have the freedom to tell folks to shut up and stop whatever,because they do or do not support some particular coach/staff.

We may have fundamentally different definitions of "objective analysis." Incessant hypercriticism of our players and coaches, flavored with a limitless supply of sarcasm, does not, in my opinion, qualify as objective analysis. For readers who have difficulty drawing this distinction, simply compare the works of John Adams or David Climer to those of Patrick Brown of the Chattanooga Time-Free Press. Tone can convey a world of difference in communicating factual information.

This is awesomely bad. We all have the right to form an opinion. Just because you hang on every word this staff says, doesn't mean the rest of the world has to.

You don't have to play for the team to form a judgement on what you see. That is stupid to even say. If they don't want judgement, they shouldn't put their games on t.v.. They don't mind all the money that irrational fans bring in, so they can get over it.

It isn't up to you and your crew to speak for the team. As it isn't my job to speak for them.

Asking Wylo to show respect or any sense of intelligence is a tall order. He is one of the most negative posters on this site who likes to pretend that his posts are just his opinions and are constructive criticisms.

Really all he does is post pathetic attempts to bash CBJ and the staff. Then he uses high school clique type of remarks to try and save face.

Who posts anything but their opinions? That is a trick that you guys pull.. I don't attempt to call in help or gang up on anyone. What I post is my opinion.

Most of the time you are posting about someone being a sunshine pumper or defending being negative.

I've offered opinions yet have not been called names (for the most part) people like you see zero positives and cry about it on here none stop. Others do the same thing from the other point of view. If you would drop the crap and have an honest conversation you wouldn't be called names.

It looks like this.... the Defense played well aginst Vandy and the running game has come along but the fake FG call has me concerned about Coach Jones and his play calling.

You don't seem to be able to do that. You can prove me wrong though. List 5 positives about Coach jones and UT football, and do it without the back handed insults

UT football is the best thing about fall. There is no close second place. So in stating that:

1. Recruiting seems to be at a high that we haven't seen in years.

2. CBJ seems to believe what he is preaching. Even If I don't.(not backhanded, just pointing out that he hasn't won me over, but he seems genuine)

3. Academics seems to be a focus. That is great considering where we had been.

4. CBJ seems determined to stick to his guns. He's gonna win or lose his way. That is respectable.

5. He says the right things about bleeding orange and loving UT. It is nice to hear.

6. He seems excited about the challenge of rebuilding our once proud program.

7. He's not Derrick Dooley.

8. He's not Lane Kiffin(although Lane's bravado was refreshing, although not backed up.)

9. He probably helped usher in alternate unis. I am glad that they mixed it up a bit.

10. Seeing former Vols around is nice. That should always happen. Glad CBJ feels the same way.


There is 10, in no particular order.
