UT football is the best thing about fall. There is no close second place. So in stating that:

1. Recruiting seems to be at a high that we haven't seen in years.

2. CBJ seems to believe what he is preaching. Even If I don't.(not backhanded, just pointing out that he hasn't won me over, but he seems genuine)

4. CBJ seems determined to stick to his guns. He's gonna win or lose his way. That is respectable.

5. He says the right things about bleeding orange and loving UT. It is nice to hear.

6. He seems excited about the challenge of rebuilding our once proud program.

7. He's not Derrick Dooley.

8. He's not Lane Kiffin(although Lane's bravado was refreshing, although not backed up.)

9. He probably helped usher in alternate unis. I am glad that they mixed it up a bit.

10. Seeing former Vols around is nice. That should always happen. Glad CBJ feels the same way.

. Thats all nice and even somewhat helpful. But if the coaching isnt much better than this year then he absolutely wont "get it done". The coaching and player development has been poor.

I love this stance.

So when we start winning it will be that the coaching got much better. It will have come up to your standards.

Not that the coaching will have stayed the same and got better players. It will be the coaching "came up."

Otherwise your mumblings for this year look stupid.

You never answered the question put to you by pig skin. Coward?

The coaching was poor period. You can ignore that if you want. But the truth remains

Talent alone won't fix it. Better players gets UT to 8 or 9 wins. It takes talent and great coaching to win championships. So again... What's your evidence of great coaching this year ?

I'll sight some good coaching.

Palardy turn around
Worley improvement before the injury
Running game improvement from last year.

Not sure I saw any great coaching.

I could list some examples of poor coaching for you but you seem to have that covered.

The Palardy turn around has been miraculous. However, I think not saying "don't "screw" this up" to a struggling player is necessarily an example of great coaching. But I understand, credit where due.

I would have to disagree on Worley's alleged improvement. I think he was consistently below average.

Worley beat USC and had this whole damn fan base feeling like its 1998 again and he's below average.

You know I've been following Tennessee football for 47 years and yes I'm disappointed with how they have played but I do believe that better times are comiing soon. I do think that coach Jones is a good coach anx he will right this ship just don't give up.

In fairness, the French were fairly instrumental in our nation winning the war that led to our independence. Napoleon was pretty bad A as well. Oh, and I would talk smack to a Legionnaire either.

I haven't given up on the Vols. I am just not sure I believe this is the right staff to bring UT back yet. The coaching and development have not been good this season.
