Bashing needs to stop

Lets give the staff a little time and support it is hard to do anything with othrr coachs players I think that Coach Butch Jones is a grest fit at Tennessee.

You never answered the question put to you by pig skin. Coward?

The coaching was poor period. You can ignore that if you want. But the truth remains

Talent alone won't fix it. Better players gets UT to 8 or 9 wins. It takes talent and great coaching to win championships. So again... What's your evidence of great coaching this year ?

The truth does remain. It is going to be so fun to bring up these threads in the future.

The Missouri players may have been less talented out of high school, but they are far more talented at this point.

That's not talent. That's coaching and development. Some folks here don't know the difference.

Talent is the raw material you have to work with... It is the "clay" that the potter works with.

Mizzou is not more "talented" than UT. They are very well coached, have a very good system, and have developed their players very well. The jury is still WAY out on Jones' current O and D systems in the SEC. Development was hurt by the coachng turnover and turmoil before this year... but there were VERY few indications that the talent was developed over the course of this season also.

Yes, my 24,000 posts indicate disappearance.

Ive made my stance crystal clear. No ifs, ands, or buts. Unlike you piss ant moaners.

You avoided his question. Most of your posts are of the quality of your last sentence here.... and you question the intelligence of others....

Why? To prove how "smart" you are for believing something without being able to give a good, well-reasoned argument for it?

All you do is throw around smart aleck comments and insults.

Do you think the Mizzou coaches sucked last year or was it that those same coaches were lacking players?

Something should be said involving a pot, a kettle, and the color black.

This is a message you seem to be determined to post all over VN, multiple times and multiple places...same message. Now, make it known to all VN.... what is your goal?

In response to the same arguments made by those determined to deny poor coaching and who refuse to give a good reason for the greatness they "believe" Jones is going to accomplish.

I have been looking all year for a reason to believe. He's given me reasons not to believe.

You get those folks to put up or shut up... and I won't have to answer the same ignorance... over and over and over.

Really? Can you point some of those times out when I have called people "dimwits" and the like?

I have called arguments stupid, ignorant, et al... If I have called someone a name like that then I will apologize. Most here are Vol fans. The only people I have any "problem" with are those who do what 123 does.

Mizzou lost their whole OL, QB, some receivers, and some D players to injury... and JUST LIKE THIS YEAR... had few quality players behind them.

Oh, can you show me the guys this staff has developed over the course of this season who will step in like Mizzou's players have?

So as coaches they sucked last year?

I didn't say that.... nor have I actually said that Jones and his staff "suck", have I?

I have said that the coaching was poor this year... that's what the performance indicates. I have said that I cannot find signs that players have been developed and improved over the course of the year... and NEITHER CAN YOU or anyone else who is throwing stones at me for pointing it out.

A) not throwing stones.
B) worley improved as the season went on
C) running game is vastly improved.
D) D Young is becoming a good wide out
E) palardys year has been amazing. He improved as a punter every game with to nights game being his best.
F) Dobbs was terrible last week. He made a couple of money throws tonight that I didn't think he had in him (see Young TD catch )

I can continue but what's the point. I could list the problems too but you have that covered.

What you lack is an objective approach to your opinion.
The improvements may not be up to your standards but that would be a different debate.

If we're being honest, very few on here predicted 9 wins.

I took a poll before the season started, here:

http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/200621-ok-one-last-time-before-season.html

...as you can see, a grand total of 19 folks picked "more than 8 wins", a whole 6% of responders. Most picked 7 or 6 wins. I doubt you'll find many major program fanbases with lower standards than that.

Thanks for the reminder. I picked 5 wins. Sadly I was right. Honestly I expect 6-6 next year. Go Vols

Answer the question then. You're the one slinging out superior intellect claims and childish name-calling. Prove it or shut it. It's simple.

I'm waiting on you. Let's discuss that scheme & we'll see who the dimwit is.

It's the equivalent of talking smack while hiding behind 4 guys.

Really dude? Trying to compare mizzou to UT isn't a good argument. Mizzou has had the same coaching staff in place for years, this staff hasn't even been here a full year yet. They are using players they didn't recruit and that don't fit their system, whereas even the back ups at mizzou had been recruited to fit their style of play.

If you look at CBJ record when he has his players and system working it is very good.
