A Waco judge just sentenced Ukwuachu to felony probation for ten years, placed him in the county jail for 180 days, and is handing down 400 hours worth of community service.
6 months for raping a woman. Unbelievable. Moral of the story: don't ever send your daughters to Baylor or Waco.

Sad.I get that but this case is more about the lengths that a school and AD will go to try a protect a stud football player while leaving his victim and the rest of their student body at risk.
This guy got his degree while on scholarship after he had been indicted by a grand jury.
The victim had her soccer scholarship reduced and had to transfer to another school.
Oops, Briles should be more careful when throwing others under the bus.
"After Sam Ukwuachu was dismissed from the Boise State football program and expressed an interest in transferring to Baylor, I initiated a call with coach Art Briles," Petersen said in the statement. "In that conversation, I thoroughly apprised Coach Briles of the circumstances surrounding Sam's disciplinary record and dismissal."
Chris Petersen says he told Baylor Coach about Sam Ukwuachu Violent Past
opcorn:
Baylor officials released a copy of its transfer information request Friday, which was completed by Boise State director of compliance Jenny Bellomy. On the form, Bellomy indicated that Ukwauachu hadn't been "suspended or disqualified" from Boise State because of disciplinary issues, and indicated he would have been eligible to return to the Broncos.
So what exactly did Peterson really tell Briles.
Ukwuachu's Boise girlfiend testified in the Waco trial, under oath, that she never reported physical violence to Boise or Idaho officials.
Peterson's former university seems to side with Briles. In fact, Ukwuachu's was eligible to return to BSU.
So, what did Peterson actually tell Briles?
You have got to be ****ting us. 6 months??? That young lady needs to lawyer up with the best and bring that entire athletic department to it's knees. I enjoyed watching Baylor football. Not anymore. Piss on that entire state.
n 2012, a Baylor linebacker named Tevin Elliott was arrested for sexual assault. At the time of his arrest, Briles said only that the player would be suspended because he had violated a team policy and that hed have no further comment. After Elliotts conviction on two counts of sexual assaultin a trial that included four other witnesses who said that Elliott had raped them toodetails about how the school had reacted to the victims claims prior to Elliotts conviction began to trickle out. The Baylor Lariat quoted the victims mother as saying that the school was not helpful in guiding her daughter during this academically stressful time, and that the accuser lost her scholarship following the assault. The paper went on to cite the prosecutor, who claimed that Waco Police Department detectives failed to follow through with victim interviews.
No in fact Boise isn't siding with Art Briles. All the transfer information says is that he wasn't kicked out of school, which he wasn't. He was kicked off the team. There's a pretty big difference.
Bear, there's a pattern here. You gonna come on here, this site, and try to defend your school?
Do you know anything about the similar cases we have had at UT and how they have been handled?
The case you cited is exactly why Baylor kicked nobody out of school until the case was decided and Waco PD turned everything they had over to the McLennan County DAs office...the office that secured the verdict.
Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Seems the pattern has changed. Other than that, you are correct.
Baylor? Trying to hide something?
I'm appalled. Truly. Shocked, even. They never have had an issue of trying to hide criminal problems.
Well, it appears to me that Baylor has little to offer the victims of these crimes. It's all about the football team isn't it? Why would anyone allow their daughter to attend your school?
Ahhh yes, the basketball murder under Dave Bliss' watch that he "tried" to cover up.
Bliss was fired.
The AD was fired.
The shool president was fired.
The Chancellor was fire.
What was covered up in this case?
As opposed to where...FSU, Texas (Alamo Bowl incident), Tennessee?? Where do we send our daughters where they will be safe? Can't send our sons to Penn St.
Shut it down, shut the whole damned thing down.
Hold on there, don't put us in there with the rest of you folks. Certainly nothing can be done before the fact, but you obviously know nothing about how our AD has handled these situations. No way a person indicted for felony sexual assault should be kept on scholarship for god's sake.
There ya go, the cover up is always worse than the crime.
Actually, Bliss never tried to cover up the murder but it created a sticky situation for himself because he was paying the tuition for the kid that was murdered, that was the coverup. He asked his players to lie for him to the NCAA investigators as well. So yeah, there was a cover up but it didn't end well and a lot of folks lost there jobs over it.
What's gonna happen in this case? Baylor went to a lot of trouble to keep this quiet, you don't see any fallout coming from that?
