White people dont need these organizations or programs becaucse they are the majority and are already favored from the start. A black person has to work twice as hard and be twice as smart to get the same recogniton and respect as a white person.

It's that mentality the issue comes up in the first place. Name one access to anything a white has that blacks do not and give a credible reason for it. The avenues for success are equal if not skewed in minorities favor now with affirmative action in education and the workplace, the only hindrance is this archaic mindset that keeps being told to current generations of minorities to be used as an excuse.

rights thats why there are 398902409234 minority grants and since im white i have to go get God knows how much in loans?

Yeah, and they don't have to maintain certain acedemic standards to keep grants.

If I were you I would focus on the original intent of the thread, minority coaches in CFB.

I find threads like these to be invaluable. The mouthbreathers, bigots, and morons are easy to identify, thus providing me with essential research in the compiliation of my ignore list.

Further proof can be seen at Dales Winning Edge. I went in yeserday to the tent sale. Hundreds of right handed drivers, hybrids, putters. Maybe 20 left handed drivers, hybrids. And 1 left handed putters. The only ones getting the winning edge is righty. :dunno:

That's just good business, everyone knows left handers can't be trusted.

I was thinking the same thing, I can't figure out who is pretty funny and who is completely ignorant in this thread.

Comparing a company being forced to go out and find a minority to interview and what happened at Auburn is ridiculous.

Its pretty black and white (no pun intended) who is the ignorant and who is educated. Some people just simply amaze me. I can see why the South still has a bad reputation for sure.

Race should not be a determining factor when selecting a HC. I think age and experience are the major reasons why there are few black HCs. Most black HC candidates are young and unproven which might be a limiting factor. Even Turner Gill hasn't proven much. Has there even been a black HC who has excelled in Div 1? I'm sure that there will be an increase in the number of black coaches as some of these talented position coaches and coordinators become more experienced and prove themselves. Mark it down, within the next 10 years there will be a flood of black NCAA HC's whether there is a "Rooney rule" implemented or not.

Obviously you have no idea how hard it is for a white male to make it through college in the south these days.

Some of these folks would have you believe that at least.

Gill is more qualified than several white coaches that have been hired at BSC schools.

You do realized that blacks have been coaching football for longer than the last 10 years, no?

The first remotely accurate thing you've posted.

Have there been any succesful minority coaches in cfb?(And don't give me the "no, because they haven't been given the chance). I don't know of any off the top of my head, and can't do the research right now. The only minority coaches I can think of are; gill, shannon and willingham. Gill and shannon have had moderate success, not exaclty setting the woods on fire. Willingham... I'll leave that one alone

Probably none, but the only progress towards race neutral admissions in university has been the Regents of the University of California v. Bakke case from 1978 that banned the quota system in California. The state of Michigan also had a pretty important decision regarding bonus points for race on admissions for undergrad. If minorities want equality in political and economic areas then how is forcibly admitting students based on race or giving them bonus points in admissions not a racial injustice?

Yeah, God forbid anyone interject reality into this debate. Precluding the truth is an interesting debate topic.
