You're better off renting than buying a trailer. Clayton's not fixing your floor when it falls through or the tacky faux rock foundation that will surely erode.

That's what I was saying. Go rent an apartment. If you're so poor that a trailer is all you can afford to buy, they'll probably only finance you for a crappy simple interest loan that you'll never pay off and all you have is a worthless metal box and a 650.00 month payment, any maybe even throw in a 250.00 lot rent.

Even if you do get a good loan, you're still stuck with a worthless metal box after its paid off. You'd be in the same boat if you rented an apartment.

ugh.

gill was 5-7 last year and won 3 games the year before. i;d say he had more than one decent season considering the turd he inherited

So, you would hire a guy because he polished up a turd and made it smell slightly better? 5-7 is not a reason to hire him, even if it is Buffalo. 8-5, winning your conference and showing good playerrapport/development is are good reasons to hire him. Still, this is the SEC. We always talk about how people aren't ready to coach in the SEC. Does a 5-7 season followed by an 8-5 season at Buffalo qualify Gill for one of the toughest jobs in the country? I'm not sure and I can understand an AD having doubts.

The PGA is far worse than the NCAA in regards to prejudice. You have your Tiger and your Phil as your token Black and Lefty. Very few other reps. PGA loves them some Righty. :p

Okay I'll stop now.

I dont follow golf that much , but it seems if you can score low ( in the lower circuit ) , you can get your tour card and play. Are there any other reasons that you cant be on the PGA tour that i'm unaware of.

that's a very good point. The problem with it is that it has been made for far too long.

And that's why I don't agree with the BCA. They don't take into account what is best for the football program. They are only concerned with the number of minority coaches and don't look at each situation individually. We don't know what Gill said in his interview or whether he even wanted to be at Auburn. Having a host of minority coaches who are qualified but not best suited for a job is not going to help the issue. That will just cause fanbase resentment and more firings of minority coaches.

Did you see who they hired? Better question: did you see they guy's record at Iowa State?

Exactly. It sounds like most of these people haven't seen the trailer parks in the south that are filled with white degenerates who choose not to better their lives.
(Not saying that all trailer parks or people that live in them are bad. Some are quite nice and I don't judge anybody for finding cheap housing.)[/QUOTE]

Its funny that you put this in parantheses. I think the general fear of "someone" being offended makes us do this. I notice I do the same thing.

Living in FL, it's hard not to know somebody who lives in a trailer park. :p

I hate all of this minority crap. Not just in college football but everywhere. The blacks gets jobs everyday who are less qualified than whites for that position and it stinks. If the naacp wants equal then we will give them equal....start a majority hiring practice.

I also dont believe that blacks should be allowed a black student union or a black miss america or a black miss university or a black demacratic caucus or mlk day or black history month. What do you think would happen if the whites had ANY of the above mentioned things.

Well we would be deemed racist and probably another cival war would happen....maybe thats not such a bad idea!!!!
My thoughts everyday..The reason for this is whites don't stick up for each other anymore. If there was a white Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton we'd never hear the end of it.

can you let me know how this manifests itself? I assume you mean whites don't stick up for other whites at the expense of everyone else.

maybe, maybe not. but the guy they hired hasn't even accomplished that.

Hiring Chizik was not the move I would have made. Auburn should have been able to do better. But, if Gill turned Auburn down like is reported then why are people complaining so much? Even if Gill didn't turn them down, Chizik's success as Auburn's DC is not much less impressive than Gill's seasons at Buffalo. Auburn's D has been nasty for years. Chizik also has ties to the program and probably in the state of Alabama. Obviously, the AD at Auburn was either more comfortable with Chizik or Gill said no. Either way, the BCA needs to shut up. The BCA needs to evaluate how pushing black coaches to be hired into any situation negatively impacts their cause.

Ok, I'll give you an example. I fought off 3 black guys who jumped me one night while 10 other whites walked off or sh** their pants.. Now, turn this situation around and tell me whats the outcome??

I read an article about the "recruiting niche" that Gill could have carved out by being a black HC in the SEC. Are people completely forgetting about Sly Croom? What about all of the black assistants who recruit in the SEC? It's not like a black man on the recruiting trail in the SEC is a novel idea.

That all depends on a number of factors. Much like the incident that happened to you.

You need better friends.

Miss St had large problems. No doubt to a black athlete, playing for a minority head coach would be a plus. In the end those players still want to win and play at the next level, if their talent warrants it.

The only ones I've heard that claim Gill turned Auburn down are apologist Auburn fans willing to believe any fantasy in order to maintain hope for Chizik. Maybe you can provide a legitimate link (no blogs please), but I've not seen any journalist say that. I don't think he'd choose coaching in the MAC over the SEC.

I have no idea what obvious outcome you're leading me to.

3 black guys, out of millions in America jumped you and the people around didn't jump in to help? Am I supposed to guess that everyone sucks?

Yeah, the programs at Auburn and Mississippi Mistake are really comparable.
