BCS Top 10

There's a reason why Auburn won't be #1 in a single poll conducted exclusively by humans.

If that's true, how would they end up being #1 in the BCS? Even with #1 in the computer polls, that wouldn't over-come a team that is #1 in both human polls.

Human voters have this ridiculous concept of refusing to drop a big conference team unless they lose. Auburn has the same record as Oregon with a far tougher schedule to this point. It's pure horsecrap that they aren't number one.

They will be in the BCS, though.

If I were a voter, I'd definitely have Auburn at #1.

Doesn't mean they have looked better, though.

I'll take close wins in a tough schedule over blowing out a bunch of patsies every day.

Auburn's schedule hasn't been that brutal. The best team they have played was coached by an imbecile. Strength of schedule should matter, but margin of victory isn't something that should be completely ignored.

You do realize that Oregon has played a single team who's above .500, whereas Auburn has played 5, three of which were ranked?

War Eagles will Lose to Bama in Tuscaloosa.

Michigan State will lose at IOWA.

Mizzou will have to beat Huskers.

Utah and TCU on colission course. I just Hope Boise with that weak a$$ schedule does not play for the NC.... JMO

Also, big numbers impress humans and pitiful computer rankings systems. Thankfully, that particular bias was taken out of the BCS.

Their schedule has been tougher than the other teams at the top, but the SEC isn't like it has been.

You tend to look worse when you play good teams. Imagine that...

They didn't just look worse, they look lucky and defenseless. I agree that Oregon hasn't proved that much, and neither team looks like they would be capable of competing for a national title in most years.

That's my point.
I was never saying their schedule was horrible, but it's not as impressive as it would be in another year. Beating Alabama will help a lot, but with the East being at an all time worst, and LSU being coached by Les Miles, it's harder to be as impressed with what Auburn has done.
