Dont rely on how many stars the recruit is. Look at how many five and four star recruits UT has had that haven't panned out. Nick Reveiz is a walk on starting over Chris Donald, a once five star recruit.
I love the people complaining because we offered him, saying he is to small. I bet these are the same people complaing of why we dont put up a "fence" around the state.
Slow down. That's too logical. Don't you know the Star System of Rivals and Scout is the gospel of future talent & success? Geez. And don't bother mentioning Cobb or McCluster or Dunn or any other lesser "star" player. Those guys are different because of X reason. UT only needs 5 star backs.
I continue to realize that a good portion of our fan base is possibly the whiniest collect of individual on the planet. And those of us who welcome positive news are just a bunch of homers.

If a highly rated recruit who played to hype was at middle linebacker, UT would be much, much better right now. Reveiz plays hard. That's commendable. However, when guys with his talent are doing anything other than covering the occasional kickoff and handling mop up duty after the future NFL studs are done pounding an opponent you have a .500 team. What our record with the 5* Donald starting and panning out?
Eric Berry had 5 stars. They get it right more often than not.
Does UT want a roster made up of only 3 stars? Of course not, but when you have the chance to offer a hometown kid who's upside at this point is unknown, but who's on field performance is nothing less than spectacular and obvious really wants to be a Vol, it's a no brainer offer.
