Bearden RB Devrin Young Commits to Tennessee!

I've been brainstorming since I've heard the news today about what role and who he might remind me of. Not saying body size of anything like that but just a role. The person I thought of was Mark Jones. Defense/Offense/Special Teams.

i wish there were more people on here like you. very respectfull :hi:
Lol I try to remember we have something in common, love for the Vols. I have no doubts that ones criticizing him would love for him to be an all-American. If he turned out great we would all love it.

Trolls or Joe Commodores is a different story. I don't take kindly to trolls telling me how great they are. my advice is this, go to your own board and talk about how great you are. Because we don't wanna hear it.

I know I saw somewhere that they looked at him, but they probably didn't because he's a 3 star from TN. Maybe they approached him and he simply didn't like Oregon. I dunno.

I wouldn't think you all would have much of a need for him.

I read on a thread today, we might be recruiting him to play as DB. Another thread said we were going after 6-7 DB in this class. They said an insider said DB was a position of need. Does that make sense?

Yes sir. Although Wes Rucker says Young was told by Dooley he would play offense too and return kicks. But I'd almost guarantee he gets a shot at DB.

I agree. StevenHarvey's was a classy post.

Also, he's right that if this guy shows up and is an All-American or just plays well for the Vols, I'm totally in his camp.

My avatar was a 2* and I think Hughes is an awesome Vol! The chip on the shoulder can do wonders. Hughes has major league potential, and it is possible that Young will have that, too. It's just less likely that all these other 3*'s are chips on the shoulder, NFL potential players.

Basically, if Dooley has the bad season that is expected, he's still got to show signs of progress in recruiting. Getting the roster up to 85 players willing to wear orange and white is simply not enough. They've got to be able to play the game.
