Beer (and beer pics!)

Enjoyed FOBAB. There was also another side that had Coffee, Barleywine and multiple vintage Prop BCBS

How was the Regal Rye. I've heard that it was a bit disappointing from couple of folks that went to Rare Day. Heard Rare was amazing, but the money doh...

Enjoying a New Glarus Raspberry Tart. So tasty.

Great beer. Excellent entry for non sour folks. I'll bring one of those out if people over and want to show them that their ideas about beer are limited. Belgian red and serendipity as well. Grab some barrel aged stout (like bcbs) and blend the 2. Amazing.

I preferred Regal Rye to Rare, that was the one that was disappointing to me. I was drinking with other Chicago beer nerds and the consensus was the same. But hell, if I can just walk away with 4 reg BCBS bottles this year I'll be happy.

Dang, I opened my bottle of NG Raspberry and the thought of a cuvee never crossed my mind. Maybe I can score another bottle.

First time we tried that was few years ago at a tasting. Someone had a Belgian Red and I had a bottle of BCBS Vanilla (original variant, not the Vanilla Rye). The 2 mixed together were sublime.

I was lucky enough to have two friends head to Wisconsin a month apart, and they were good enough to stock me up well. Have a bottle of Raspberry Tart left as well as some Two Women Lager, Staghorn, Pumpkin Pie Lust and Spotted Cow left. Rationing is hard.

Heading to Blue Pants Taproom Friday night for the return of this awesomeness Chocolate Oatmeal Porter......oh how I have missed you

By the way...anyone going to the 12 South Winter Warmer this Saturday? Should be great as usual. Easily one of the best, if not the best, festival in Tennessee.

Any of yall had the Dogfish head Fort?

At 18% abv this raspberry Belgian ale is a monster, but the raspberry flavor can be a touch overpowering and it's quite boozy. It's still an interesting drink though. A half growler of this can put you in a fun place.
