Beer (and beer pics!)

Perennial Ales Southside Blonde - fine, typical, nothing special Blonde that is easy drinking

North Coast PranQster - fine, nothing special Belgian Ale that it is easy drinking

Had some of this years Cosmik Debris as well. Delicious!

Scofflaw is pretty damn good. The place I work at has had their Basement IPA on tap the last couple of months. We're doing a "Tap Takeover" with them June 1st. Their Double Jeopardy Double IPA is excellent as well.

I just got a growler of Scofflaw Basement and loved it.

Just had Westbrook Mexican Cake 2017. Didn't disappoint, but it does have a little more heat than last year. Also had Charles Town Fermentory Pallet Rider. It's a DIPA that is more fruity than bitter. Just fantastic.

Has anyone had Birthday Bomb? I didn't know Prairie made that variety, and I found it on vacation. I won't try it until I get home, but if it's anything close to regular Bomb, it's fantastic.

What Florida craft should I try to find while visiting? I love Jai Alai by Cigar City and am definitely a hop head. The gas station we just stopped at had 3 Daughters and a bunch of others I didn't recognize.

I just finished a state wide road trip a week or two ago. Cigar city and Funky Buddha were cool breweries. Had a pretty damn damn good sour called Purple Drink from Coppertail too. Their brewery was pretty nice as well.

About to head home tomorrow after vacation. I ended up having two beers from Charles Towne Fermentory. Both were good. They are very new, and I believe their brewmaster came from Trillium. The brewery was too far for me go to, and they haven't produced a whole lot. But I believe they are going to make some noise in the South Carolina market.

Went to the new Merchants of Beer in downtown Knoxville today. Cool atmosphere and about 50 beers on draft. They even had the 2016 Goose Island Lolita, which even at $10 for a 10oz pour was still totally worth it.

There are a bunch of limited releases from Funky Buddha at the shop down the road. Mexican Coffee and Snowed In looked interesting. Hop Gun is solid.

Yes, it's excellent. Everything by Prairie is awesome. The Pe-Kan is extraordinary.

I brought home four Prairies- Bomb, Birthday Bomb, Paradise, and a DIPA. I got Evil Twin Even More Jesus, Six Point Puff, and Great Divide Yeti. I cannot get any in Memphis.

Also got Westbrook Siberian Black Magic, Mexican Cake, the Maple Bourbon Mini Growler, and Two Claw. Also got a six pack of a local IPA from Coast Brewing.

VOLatile- email me at justin.gee@gmail.com. I need your info to send you the bottle. Also, I haven't shipped much. I will use FedEx and have read some pointers about shipping bottles. Anything else that is important to do to it?

They have Prarie at the local craft shop. Is there one or two you'd recommend?

Having a Cigar City Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push right now. Those who favor oily, chocolate/coffee stouts will find this about as good as they come.

I haven't had any of their year round stuff. I have had Bomb and its varieties (Christmas Bomb and just got Birthday Bomb). I have also had Bible Belt, which is a collaboration with Evil Twin. All are stouts, and all are outstanding. These are some of the best stouts out there. They aren't cheap either- bought a 12 oz. single of Bomb and Birthday Bomb for $10 a piece. If you ever get a chance to buy one, I would recommend it.

I just had Penultimate Push a few weeks ago. I thought it was good- I also had a couple of other Cigar City stouts that were a little better.
