Beer (and beer pics!)

How do you guys store beer? Got a couple bottles want to save and would like to get into collecting.

I have a shelf in a guest room closet for cellared beer. It's a little warmer than ideal, but the main thing is that they stay dark and avoid light.

Sucks to hear about the Bent River beers. But I don't think they recalled batches but by dates.

The 2016 was baller. So good. Just unfortunate that the 2017 got infected. They've also had some issue with other beers, but have had a shakeup with brewers so they're coming around, hopefully. Several breweries opening up here in this 6 month period that they're getting pressure locally to perform.

Bent River Orange Creamsicle Double Pale. It's what I need to cope with this coaching search.

I will be in Nashville and Miami next month and looking for some brewery recs. Not sure if I will have spare time in Nashville but I will in Miami.

Last time I was in Miami I wanted to make it out to Wynwood because it looks like a cool area, is it worth visiting?

Currently enjoying a good local IPA and burger on my first day off in nearly a month.

I’d do Yazoo, Bearded Iris, and if you get the chance to take a quick trip to Franklin, I’d recommend Mantra as well.

Thanks. I will mostly be in Spring Hill and Franklin, so Mantra may be my best bet. As much as I have heard you guys talk about Bearded Iris, I need to make it there.

I've had this one and it's is potent.

Cool Springs Brewery is in Franklin/Cool Springs as well, but meh. Brewhouse South always has a solid draft selection there.

Their brews are just so unique, moreso than any other IPAs I've had. I wish the availability of the limited releases was better... Almost impossible to find. If Santa would drop a four pack of Red Handed and DDH Homestyle in my stocking, I'd be a happy man!

I'm doing a podcast about Knoxville called the Scruffy Little Podcast (now on iTunes). We talk local comedy, sports, fun stuff for parents to do with kids, music, breweries, etc.
Early January we plan to talk all things local beer. Please let me know what's your favorite Knoxville area beer on-tap or even something you can find at a store.
For me, the Blackhorse IPA is next-level. I like a lot of the Blackberry Farm beers, too.
Thanks in advance.

Crafty Bastard is the best in Knoxville. They are an eclectic bunch, so they aren’t exactly consistent with their recipes. Their beer oftentimes doesn’t taste the same between visits, but it’s always damned good.
