As long as fans buy tickets to the home games and buy concessions, I do not see CPF firing CHW and it does not matter how bad the on court product is.

Holly has had more than her chance! She has no clue how to coach a team, period! With the talent we have and even average coaching we should easily be a top 5 team. Yes she was recommended by Pat but she simply has no clue how to coach! Fire her now!

Holly seems to have a big problem correcting bad situations. She seems very lost when the team goes South. We have been talking about the same issues for the last six years and nothing has changed. We really need to realize that this might be as good as it is going to get.

Getting beat is one thing but getting the piss beat out of you @!home is another"Blowing a 23 pt lead in south bend should have never happened....a great crop of freshmen & some talented veterans but they need someone different @ the helm who can bring it together!

Mercedes Russell and Diamond Deshields were ranked 1 and 2 coming out of high school.

Holly coached them into one of the worst Lady Vol teams of all times. One day they're beating Notre Dame. The next day they're losing to Alabama.

You ask about improvements? That cupcake preseason schedule was a ruse.:yes:

Even if Holly was a decent coach...which she isn't....this program has the bar set at NATIONAL TITLES...not middling conference records. We don't jump for joy cuz we have a good record..but can't hang with the "big boys" (so to speak). This program has set a precedent for the goal being final four AT WORST...and it has become obvious that Holly Warlick is nowhere near a championship level coach. Heck..not even a conference winning coach. Let's say for argument she's "ok". THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH for a program with the rich history of the Lady Vols. Keeping her around simply reinforces the acceptance of simply being..."good" at best.

C'mon. Nothing about Holly smacks of "champion" coach. Not by a longshot. Therefore...it's unacceptable to keep trotting her out there and pretending she is anything near champion level.

You are calling for a BOYCOTT of the Lady Vols basketball games.

Holly will sink or swim based on the team's performance this season and the next.

But to call for the BOYCOTT of the Lady Vol's games is going way way over the top.

And keep in mind, he was the victim of nega vols who continued to call for his ouster at the end of his head coaching career so I doubt very seriously if he takes the negative stuff on a forum seriously. If anything, it probably torques him off and he will do the opposite...

I have said this from the get-go with Holly...The more good basketball players are around her...the worse they get.

Whether it be the players, coaches, or both, when ESPN runs a story on whether the Lady Vols are an elite program anymore during the halftime of a Lady Vol game, there is a problem.

Because the more you are seen by the other coaches, the easier it is for them to prepare for what you have...AT LEAST, THAT WORKS FOR MOST COACHES!

Didn't we just learn from our football program that it's just not enough to recruit great players without the ability to coach them up into a great team? Yes, the great players have been recruited and are wearing LV orange. Where's the development?

This is what poor coaching and underachieving looks like. It’s unacceptable and the people that call others “nega Vols” for pointing out the obvious are clueless.

I understand it's a young team and was not expected to be a FF contender till next year. The two losses in a row, not entirely unexpected. However they got their collective asses handed to them for the last 5 quarters, that's not a good trend. I noted that Russell played 40 minutes, and had zero fouls. That tells me they don't have anyone who can back her up properly, and that she was told just to let em shoot. Add to that getting crushed in rebounds, 0-8 on 3 pointers (that's shooting 0% if anyone is counting), and it adds up to one shameful display of inexcusable basketball. Team is probably still Elite 8 material though, depending on who they have to play in the tournament.

Man these NEGAVOLS are more plentiful this year, than the past two seasons when we were actually doing pretty horrible! After every lose, I see more and more!

I posted in another thread that Charlie Creme is projecting the LVs to fall to #11 and a 3 seed. Given the way they've been playing, it's not surprising to see people questioning their ability to stay in big games. SCAR and Texas both moved up to 2 seeds in the updated brackets; UGA, aTm and Mizzou are 4 seeds. It's very early and the LVs can get back on track, but they're going to have to play much better to get past some of the remaining teams. LSU won't be a cakewalk and neither will aTm, UGA, Mizzou and SCAR.

Just wow. I totally get that people are disappointed, but as several have pointed out, this team has lost to 3 teams, all of who are ranked, and 2 of them are ranked higher. So as a result of losing to ND and Miss State, all the Holly boo-birds are in full form and again saying she needs to go?

What exactly do you expect from this program? We will NEVER be THE team in WCBB - like we used to be - in the NC game almost every year. And I guarantee once Geno leaves, UCONN will face the same fate.

Do most people believe that Muffet is the 2nd best coach in WCBB? If so, look at her NCAA record. She has 1 NC and 6 final 4's. She's made the NC game 5 times, wining once, and losing to Baylor, Tex AM, and UCONN twice. And this is over a 17 year time frame.

So I hate to say it, but no matter WHO the coach is at Tennessee, what ND has done in the past 17 years is about the best we can possibly expect for our next 17 years. The unrealistic expectations that some seem to have is mind boggling given that Pat is the GOAT, yet some expect the program to perform the same with her gone.

And by the way, as people consider who they'd like to replace Holly with, name 1 coach who has recruited more McD AA's in the past 2 years than Holly. We have 7. That's more than Geno, more than Muffet, more than Jeff, more than Dawn, more than pretty much anyone. I'm not sure how may Baylor and Texas have but they might be the only 2 teams with more over the past 2 years.

We were totally spoiled with Pat at the helm. I know we all appreciated her and loved her and enjoyed the ride, but those days are long gone. The reality is that even if we had Muffet coaching UT for the next 17 years, would ANYONE be satisfied with 1 NC, 6 FF's and 4 NC games? Probably for many, the answer is no, which means you will continually be frustrated and disappointed.

This is the new reality people. The sooner we can let go of the past, the happier we will be...
