Bingo. He won’t be eligible to coach for awhile.
He’ll still be eligible to coach, even with a show cause, but it pretty much kills any realistic chance that he has of being hired. That is unless a program is completely desperate.

Ole Miss is rumored to be after Alabama defensive coordinator, Pete Golding. Alabama's next defensive coordinator could be Jeremy Pruitt. Stranger things have happened.

Link to an Alabama website I read... Alabama Football: Pete Golding to Ole Miss rumors (bamahammer.com)

disclaimer: I am an Alabama graduate. Not trying to stir up trouble. Just some info that may be of interest to the Vol community.

He will have a show cause, he won't be coaching college anytime soon. Even Saban won't mess with him again.

He was great at Alabama with Kirby Smarts recruits. He wasn’t all that at Ga. Butch scored easily on him with similar talent.

He definitely has a ceiling, that is for sure.. I don’t think he is the fix-it-all that Bammers think he is though..but him being there may give him ideas about taking over and that would be awesome bwahahaha.. he is just the right mixture of ambition and dummy to do it

Pretty sure he’s got the best defense statistically ever at Alabama and like 3-4 rings including FSU. Like you said that’s just his ceiling. Be real hard to see him getting a HC job that’s for sure!

In the one place where he didn't have multiple NFL players all over the defense, his defenses were average at best...

See giving up 38 points to Georgia State

100%

But he was also recruiter of the year a few times too. That’s part of it. It’s bananas how terrible he was here compared to every other stop. Total garbage.

I hope you can land him. He’s all yours.

Per Madoff?? It wasn’t Pruitt that continued to hire himself as a DC was it?? All these coaches think they are great coaches. Saban seemed to think Pruitt was pretty good, but what does he know 🤷🏻‍♂️
Ok Bernie. You didn't steal billions. You dead sob, hope you enjoyed it. Was it fun. Was it ****ing fun?

Lol wtf are you talking about??

Madoff was a criminal who ruined thousands of lives. Pruitt was an elite DC with multiple rings and a few recruiter of the year awards, who then turned into a ****** head football coach. It’s not the first time great coordinators have become garbage head coaches, it won’t be the last either….

Either way Madoff and Pruitt have less than zero to do with each other.

I don’t think Bama will have this option after the NCAA gives a show cause. But even if they did…WHY would you bring in clearly a damaged, untrustworthy coach to lead your young men? Now I know the obvious anti-Bama answer to that BUT beyond that…it simply makes zero sense. I believe in repentance and forgiveness. After all…my eternal destiny is based on it…but like Elon Musk said…”ITS VERY EASY TO FOOL PEOPLE…BUT ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CONVINCE THEM THEY'VE BEEN FOOLED!”

I often thought it was sabotage, but was like no, that’s crazy 😂, but he is either a saboteur or he is not all that… and yes I know he was a HC vs a DC, but his defenses here were not good, and he had control over them and that is the truth 😂 ah, the enigma that is Pruitt, but he isn’t that complex lol

I think it became pretty obvious he wanted to have his hand in everything and everything suffered. The best coaches don’t meddle in the men they hired to coach. Butch was bad about it too.

Like you said, he ain’t that complex. He’s a good recruiter who can handle a defense full of studs when that’s his only responsibility.

He ain’t no Heupel that’s fasho!!

Maybe they are interested in him taking Butch Jones' old analyst job, carry a clipboard around, wear a headset, otherwise start rehabbing the career, would expect the SEC commissioner to have something to say about Cornbread returning to the SEC, Cornbread wouldn't play by the NIL rules if he wouldn't play by the improper benefit rules, the show cause is coming, that won't prevent Alabama from hiring him, it just puts them at a heightened responsibility when the rules get broken again.

He’s a great defensive coordinator but didn’t work out as a head coach. No sure Bama will hire him until the NCAA closes out their investigation.

Having just scrolled this thread from start to now, I'm amazed how many of Beldar's relatives posted +'s for him on a Vol thread.
Maybe too much mass quantities of beer and chips causing some to praise him
