Beldar to Bama?

Yet many times at TN he couldn’t even get our players lined up correctly

True. Here’s the ONLY thing I’ll say positive about Pruitt. I think that when he only has to worry about the defense, and he has talent, he’s a pretty solid coordinator. I remember during the Auburn game he was telling the defensive players which way the ball was going. So, I think he has a good defensive mind. That being said, when he’s given control of an entire team he’s a complete failure.

Pruitt wasn't ready to take control of an entire team nor will he ever be unless it's lower level football.

There is a pic out there with our D lined up against Ga State, in a formation never seen before and never to be seen again. If I recall, we had NO ONE lined up on the left side of our line. The Ga State QB audibled, and they rambled through the 15-20 yards of completely open space.

Darnedest thing I have ever seen in a 'formation'.

The claims in these articles are in such a bizarro world it's beyond belief.

"During that era, one of the Vols’ wealthy boosters, Bud Adams flaunted his lavish spending on Tennessee players and recruits, while admitting he broke NCAA rules."
I never knew Bud Adam's was a UT booster.

"In Fulmer’s career, Tennessee likely broke far more NCAA rules over the last 30-plus years than Ole Miss and Auburn combined."
But didn't break more rules than Bama? Fulmer was at UT for "the last 30-plus" years?

What passes for sports journalism these days.

Was Bud Adams alive while Pruitt was coach here?

Fulmer turned in Bama for cheating. Bammers blame Fulmer for the penalties associated with Bammers cheating.

So, blame the accuser for the crimes of the accused.

Makes sense.....in Alabama

If Alabama is allowed to hire a coach with massive NCAA violations admitted by his former school, and face no repercussions whatsoever, it will mark the day that the NCAA finally died.

And I have NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that Alabubba will face no repercussions for hiring Slingblade McGump, so this may in fact mark the end.

Sankey blocked Saban hiring Hugh Freeze as his OC a few years ago. So it is possible it'll be blocked.

No he didn't, Sankey doesn't have the authority to block a hire.
Technically, he does have the authority. It really depends on the basis of his decision.

As far as Pruitt is concerned, it really comes down to if the NCAA issues him a show-cause. They should, but that doesn't mean they will.

SEC bylaw 19.8.1.2 states that if a school is considering hiring an individual “who has engaged in unethical conduct” or has participated in activity that resulted in Level I or Level II NCAA violations, the school president is “expected to consult directly with the Commissioner” before any hire can be finalized.

Report: The SEC stopped Alabama from hiring Hugh Freeze (Update)

This!! I fully believe if Saban tried to hire Pruitt back it would most likely not get approved. Can't imagine Saban going in that direction.
