Apparently the Board of Regents is behind the hire and not the Athletic Director so a bad hire is expectable.

It will be interesting to watch what happens.

I cannot imagine that grumpy SOB would be too keen on recruiting. In the game today you not only need to recruit high schoolers but your own players as well. We will see how this works out.

Frank Rock did a Belichick video on his House Of Orange You Tube channel and speculated how CBB plans to give potential recruits a pipeline to the NFL and whether Tennessee can keep their North Carolina footprint.

I think it will be a flash in the pan type of thing with both recruiting and results. Guys are going to buy in quickly with the excitement. Maybe get a top 15 recruiting/transfer class, go 8-4 the first year. Then the transfers out start leaving, the excitement dries up a bit and things begin to settle out. maybe they go 8-4 again, and then its clear going into the third and last year of the contract that Bill is on his way out and doesn't care, and wheels fall off.

UNC currently has 2 ranked opponents on next years schedule, Clemson at home and Syracuse on the road. Depending on what they do in the portal they should win some games. 2 ranked games is a step up from the 2024 season, where the Heels played 0 top 25 teams. Great depth in the ACC.
