Best Whiskey

Picked up a fifth of this for $21.50 this afternoon. I usually drink Makers, but wanted to try something new.

I have to say I am not a fan of Makers... Woodford is much better in my opinion. Also, the Four Roses Small Batch is quite amazing.

Was drinking the Rye last night, good stuff.

You're my boy, Blue! I just finished all my Jim Beam rye ...
and in a mind to keep going, veered off from my gin, and am trying some Limoncello crap, half and half with tonic. Wish I had more rye! :loco:

I hate to open it as it was a gift from my mother. She went to the Jameson distillery in Ireland a couple years ago and had label personalized for me. I normally drink McCormick's whiskey w/ Sprite 0. Teachers scotch not a bad sipper. How is the Jamesons?

Gentleman Jack
Four Roses Single Barrel
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
Lagavulin

(no order...depending on mood)

Pappy Van Winkle - 20 year old is really good
Bookers - The proof varies but the taste stays the same, really good
Makers - On the rocks or a splash of cranberry
Woodford Reserve - Good bourbon with a nice taste
Rock Hill Farms - Best looking bottle, warm taste, gets the job done

Makers all day long for me. Just received my official ambassador's materials.

No joke! I signed up years ago for a free sleeve of golf balls. We have gotten some great swag ever since. Great marketing IMO.

I need to go to Loretto to visit "my barrel".

As for the Bulliet, my bro and I put a really good dent into the bottle and enjoyed it a lot.

I will buy again, especially at the price the local store has it priced.

Yeah, bulliet is excellent for the price tag on it.

Man, once upon a time I had me a white lightnin connection in Blount County, but ole J.R. has passed on. May God rest his soul. :hi:

Gotta get on your game and get some more connections, White Lightning should be shared around the south!

On the docket over Christmas break:

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit
Pappy Van Winkle 15 year

So get a load of this ****...

I hosted a party over the weekend that was pretty big, so I only served beer, wine, and punch. Some ******* went into my liquor cabinet, scrounged around and pulled a bottle of Jefferson's Presidential Select 17y/o and mixed it with coke! I about had a heart attack. It's bad enough he went into my cabinet and drank some of the last Stitzel-Weller bourbon in existence. But the fact he mixed it with coke makes me want to puke.

Awesome. I signed up for the Ambassador's Program as well, even though I'm so-so with Maker's. But free stuff is free stuff, amirite?
