(VolunteerHillbilly @ Mar 1 said:I agree with you to a point LawGator, but I have friends who went to Ole Miss who are always completely arrogant regarding anything having to do with their school, including the football team, and I give them hell for it even though they have not challenged UT for a long time. I am not sure what the problem is with the Vandy fans. Maybe a lot of them really wanted to be jerks all these years and they were just biding their time, waiting for a chance to back up the attitude? I really don't know. I am just surprised and perturbed by it as someone who has attended a lot of games at Vandy (probably considered them my 2nd favorite SEC team for many years until going to college in Georgia) and even donated a little money to them for several years becasue they let me use the law library when I needed to. As for the UF fans, I have no idea if they are any worse than other fans. I think I have said that some of my worst experiences at college games have been at Neyland while some of my best have been in Athens. I have been to Jacksonville for Ga-Fla but I have never been to a game at Gainesville. After reading what a lot of people say about it I am curious and I may just try and go to a game there this year. I have a feeling that as long as I am not a loudmouth idiot I probably won't have any trouble.
I hope you go, too. It is a good college football atmoshpere and I would hope that you would be treated well and enjoy yourself. If not, let me know and I will go knock some heads. LOL. Despite my protestations above, if in fact any UF fan, much less a bunch of them, cause my alma mater to suffer in the eyes of a true college football fan then I regret it and don't want to be tied to them.
