Better Call Saul

finally finished the season today

surprised at Chuck's suicide attempt, he was all fired to sue the firm, then wants to kill himself
doesn't make sense

It makes sense. Howard and Jimmy took the high road, while he came across as selfish. He was in the wrong, and he couldn't stand it.

To my recollection Kim was never mentioned in BB, wonder why not? She is/was such a big part of his life.

She's the only barrier to Jimmy becoming Saul. She either dies or bails on him after he starts repping mobsters.

While BCS got quite a few nominations, I can't believe Michael McKeon (Chuck) was Emmy snubbed. His performance was easily one of the best on TV.

He deserved one but I think Banks deserved one too, and it's so crowded they weren't going to give BCS 2 Supporting Actor noms.

I really hope Odenkirk takes it this year.

Uncle Tio (Hector Salamanca) had brain surgery and had to bow out of a mob movie. Nothing out yet on how this will affect the show's production schedule. Since his stroke on the show has already happened, if he recovers enough they could shoot his scenes with him in a limited capacity.

I'm in the minority I know, but I like this show as much as I liked BB.

I don't think you're as much in the minority as you think. I still think BB is the better show but BCS is very, very close. It's far exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be good but clearly inferior to BB and that's not been the case at all. I chalk that up to Gilligan deciding to be hands on with it instead of just producing.

I agree with this 100%. Seems to be following the BB model of the 1st couple seasons being sort of slow but interesting and then really picking up in the later seasons.

I just love the detail. Gilligan is just so good at building up an actual story. Not to mention the fact that the actors in the show have been great.

I agree with this, and as you said the casting has been excellent.

You guys think Gilligan could create a post BB series next that is set in the same world? I love the world he has created, it's sort of like a fantasy epic in that way. I hope he does, but I doubt he will.

Saul could also leave the cinnabon...
