Obviously, I have no idea, but I don't perceive Obama to be the AntiChrist. Just all seems silly to me.

I agree, as much as I do not want him as the leader of our country, this is silly.
I take him at his word about being a Christian. Not for me to judge.

A story from a trusted missionary friend in Africa. The tribe he and his family was working with was coming under attack from a local militia leader.

One night the attacks made their way inside the village and who ever could retreated to the church compound.

Every one thought death was certain but for some reason the milita backed off and left.

The missionary did not know why until later that some in the militia said before the assault on the church compound that what they called Giants wearing armor surrounded the compound and they were carrying giant swords.

if you read the Bible about the anti-christ. he is very popular and he will bring all nations together. but i believe he comes into power after the rapture. i've heard a lot of preachers say that after the rapture, America becomes a very weak nation. that why you don't see any references about America in the Bible. i believe the anti-christ will set up a temple in Israel or Rome, i can't remember. Bible basically says that everything will happen in the middle and europe.

I want to go back to the antichrist first... where in revelation does it say it will be a man of muslim descent in his 40s?

what worries me about his is that he claims to be a Christian but his actions and social beliefs go completely against Christian's beliefs and the Bible. the whole issue of making Gay marriage legal and supporting hate laws that would state that if you preach against homosexuals you're committing a hate crime. i don't understand why a "Christian" would defy and go against an instituation created and ordained by God.

You are confusing religion and government.

The question is, do we live in a free society?

Could someone explain to me, when you date the Bible the earth is roughly 6k years old.

But when you use at fossil evidence, and carbon dating, the earth is billions of years old.

Because we are still suppose to love all people regardless of their trangressions. We can not punish those who sin with homosexuality, only God can.

There are many rumors flying around about the coming of the anti christ. I've heard the claims that the last pope would be it, there are too many to keep up with though.

i've read reports that prove carbon dating and fossil evidence reports have greatly exaggerated the age of the earth. It was a big deal like two years ago and then all of a sudden I never heard about it again.

It all goes back to the initial interpretation. Days also meant ages or periods of time so the translation could be misinterpreted. Also there is no real way to be sure about carbon dating. Bottom line is we are trying to wrap our minds around something that is very difficult, for science and religion.

ummm I'm being serious here, does it actually state that?

No it does not. This is a smear tactic by some of our fellow Christians. OE told you correctly. I just wanted everyone to think it through for themselves. Islam was not even a religion when the Bible was written.

You bet..... but I will post this first!

With biblical prophecy consistently pointing to the Middle East as the origin of the Antichrist, why do some people believe that the Antichrist will come from a revived Roman Empire like the European Common Market?

This deception is from a sentence in Daniel 9:26 which says, “The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.”

One subject of Daniel 9:26 above, is the people.

The people will be of the same people as the ruler who will come. This means the people and the ruler will be of the same national origin. If the people are Greek then the leader in question will be Greek. So, when we know the national origin of the people we will also know the national origin of the leader.

Part of this prophecy was fulfilled in 70 A.D. when the Roman army destroyed Jerusalem and the Jewish sanctuary. According Josephus, the people that destroyed the sanctuary were predominately Syrian.

Some people have incorrectly assumed that, because it was a Roman army, the people who destroyed the city and the sanctuary were of Romans. However, it was customary for the Roman army to conscript soldiers from territories they had conquered. In this campaign the Roman troops were predominately Syrians.

Therefore, the ruler who will come will be of Syrian national origin. Syria, at that time, included some of the territory of present day Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.

Thoughts?

i agree we should love all people, but that's different than supporting and accepting acts that completely go against God. God says he judges nations by the way act. he judged Soddam and Gamora for being a wicked city, he burnt it up in flames.

when Jesus met the woman at the well he didn't encourage her to keep getting more husbands and prostituting herself. he witnessed to her and essentially told her there was better life than what she's living now.

That isn't the role of government..........

That is churches being lazy and wanting the government to do their job for them!
