He's talking about catalysts and palladium, how well do we know this potential terrorist?
The boys are ripping off catalytic converters as fast as they can to keep up with palladium. American recycling at its finest.
And not just for palladium. There's also platinum, and more interesting - rhodium.
Check out the price of rhodium today vs. 3 months ago (it was around 16,000 then)

Following are today's Industrial Bullion Prices.
Prices Dated: 17-Mar-2021
[USD per Troy Ounce]
Metal Symbol Price
Platinum Pt 1206.00
Palladium Pd 2515.00
Rhodium Rh 26750.00

Funny you ask.
I had a visit from a couple of 3-letter guys a few years ago, because of a certain overseas "entity" that was trying to buy catalyst from my company.

Here's one for all of you screaming that he would raise taxes..............
Taxes: Biden's stimulus provides larger single-year tax breaks than Trump's or Reagan's cuts - CNNPolitics

The multitude of tax breaks in the $1.9 trillion relief package signed this month by President Joe Biden will provide one of the biggest one-year tax cuts in modern history, a new analysis has found.
The tax breaks are 70% larger than those in any single year of the Republicans' 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, as a share of the economy, and also greater than the first year of former President Ronald Reagan's 1981 tax cuts, according to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center.
Golly gee, one-year tax breaks. He's our Savior.

You can count on that, 85% of mine gets taxed every year. All you have to do is have a few hundo in earnings and uncle Joe is sinking his teeth into your ass.

I believe the setpoint for taxing SS was set years ago but never indexed to or increased to reflect current income levels. Basically a built in silent tax increase.

Is that the point where Al Gore broke the tie in the Senate which passed the "tax"?

From my understading the SS number was never to be used for commerce ID purposes. Yet you cant live life without it, unless you are an illegal.

FDA, IRS, DEA? You're not taking flight lessons are you?
Let's just say I am averse to typing them verbatim. It was actually the local department of commerce dude who insisted I accept their invitation to visit my facility, and with him he brought unannounced a very tight-lipped dude who was clearly with the eff bee eye even though he did not offer me a business card and spoke hardly at all. Seems they had been tipped off by the guys who have eyes and ears everywhere including on the emails. Once I had convinced them I was legit they asked me to do a sting by letting them plant a tracker/transmitter in the bottom of a drum I would use to ship catalyst to my "customer"... I was having none of that but I did agree to redirect said customer to a special website these dudes would set up for the purpose of trying to spy on that third party.

I was in the Army ('67-'70) when we shifted from serial numbers to SS numbers as our identifiers. Nobody seemed to have much concern about identity theft in those days. Probably a twist on the thing about to really screw up it takes a computer - white collar crime is so much easier in the internet age.

If I remember correctly UT used to use SS numbers instead of names to post grades.
