Biden gonna tax us to death

It's the changing of the law in March of 2021 for the entirety of 2020 that bothers me. I figure around August this year, the fools will jam through tax increases like we have never seen...and they will make them retro to January 1st. All tax planning had to be done by December, 2020.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least to have them remove the FICA cap too and send you a bill (with penalty of course) for that as well.

****ing thieves.

Same as changing the speed limit on a highway from last year and sending you a ticket in the mail today for all the days you went too fast. That used to be a big NO NO in tax law...but they kept fooling around more and more in January of each year, arguing about the budget, shut-downs etc. Then pass something in reconciliation affecting the previous year. Now, the camel's nose is under the tent. Who knows what laws we are living under now that we haven't been told about yet? The only thing we know for sure is the democrats are coming for more money.

Compare the thievery of a corporation like walmart who doesn't pay its employees enough to stay off government assistance. So my tax dollars supplement wealth of its owners. I don't mind seeing them get hit.

Problem is, like all things government, they won't stop at "big corporations."

And about that minimum wage. Just wait until some flunky does the tax increase "math" based on increased minimum wage and doesn't take into account the decreased hours employers are going to use. Because each and every place that's gone up has seen working hours decrease or automated systems put in place to replace traditional workers.

That little tidbit won't get passed on to Congress or the White House I'd bet. Ask they'll see is the $$$ they think will roll in.

That's dumb rationalization / justification.
Actually, the most telling part of his post was the last sentence. "I don't mind seeing them get hit". What he refuses to acknowledge is that "they" aren't going to be paying the freight. He knows it, but leftists close their eyes, click their heels (up) and suddenly appear in Kansas.

CWV isn't a leftist, though. His post history shows he is more fiscally conservative and socially liberal than he is a Bernie Bro.
It's hard sometimes to discern what is actual opinion and what is pot stirring for fodder.

I agree with your point, though. Punitive taxes on Wally because they pay minimally while their employees are on public assistance is short sided conflation. Talk to any business owner who has costs increase and how they deal with increased cost and you will see Wally will not be paying more in taxes, their shoppers will.

Fair enough. He is hard to read sometimes. But his 'get Walmart' tack is pure ********. If you want to attack rich elites, why not go after Lebron and the Kartrashians? Neither of them provide jack squat other than entertainment. At least my wife can buy squash at Walmart.

He’s a hardcore antagonist. With far left leanings and wealth envy.

no no no.... You don't get to do that. Just tell me why you think it is OK for the government to take more of MY money just because I have been successful.
Simple..........You owe it for being blessed by living in a country which provides you with the opportunity to become successful through hard work.

OK. So at what point should I stop working hard and become a taker? Rather, at what point is it OK to become a taker? And I will add my Thomas Sowell quote once again, and ask you to answer his question.

Just wait until they start taking a hard look at the tax exempt status of churches and colleges. And, of course, 501(c) organizations afterwards.

Because no matter how much they have, they will want more. And when an institution like Harvard and Yale have endowments in the billions the .gov didn't see a penny of, someone is going to make that case.

I would love to see them going after colleges. That actually might be a solution to the elitist left indoctrination problem. After all, they do promote abortion.

I fully support the revocation of the tax exempt status of churches and universities. Heck even charities that don’t spend at least 85% of their income on their purported cause.

He is also someone who gives back to his community on a regular basis. He stepped up during covid, he steps up every christmas. I am not saying he doesn't have his moments here. we all do. But he isn't a one dimensional person irl.

At whatever point seems right for you.
That's not that complicated of a question to answer.
Whatever society decides.

What is the fair share of your income and mine that should go to funding the military? Repaving Interstate 40? Building and staffing prisons? Funding the State Supreme Court?
