Big recruiting news!!

I cant stand that we got this guy I mean all he did this year was throw for 3000 yards and 29 td's I mean how could we offer this guy.

Vandy although located in the South, is filled with kids from the North. A large portion of kids attending Vandy are from the Northeast. And as for the Vandy football players being smarter than other football players- many of the players attend Vandy's Peabody which is a far cry from the top notch law and MBA programs that they offer.
More Texans attend Vandy than from any other state, other than Tennessee, or that was the case a few years ago.

who looked like the best Qb at the army all-american game. The kid commited to the Ivy leauge school thats who sometimes ya never know who the next, Kurt Warner sometimes it might just be who fits the offense the best. not saying its Nash but i cant say for sure its not

that is a great point.. that guy outplayed everyother qb that was there in my opinon... what was his name again i forgot what it was?

nance is pretty mobile. will college coaching and s&c improve his arm strength? if he can improve that, looks like he will be a good qb. i wasnt aware that he is 6'3".

Anybody know anything about big lineman at Knox Cath. I think he blew out a knee as soph didn't play as junior not sure what kind of Senoir year he had?????

I think you are talking about Zak Tait. Because of his injury a lot of teams have backed off of him. It's hard to say if he's the same player he was or not. He's probably a fall-back option if we don't get some of the other OL prospects.

Crompton was highly recruited and look what he did,I give him credit for the 2nd half of the season, was his best.then throws pick in bowl game. Not sorry to see him go.

bullsh!t on most criticism of Nash Nance. This kid is a QB of the future for UT. Someone may beat him out at QB, that much is true...but those quick passes and quick reactions are the future of all football. The guy is much, much faster than any starter we've had in the last ten years if he has to run, and he spots receivers early with his look-around. We've needed a possession QB for some time, IMO. BTW, his accuracy is awesome on short passes....which always lead to open deep receivers and great runs for tackle-to-tackle runners. He's a keeper, not a package. Just my opinion, not carved in stone. We'll see. Go, you VOLS! :dance2:

I still find it hard to see Nance beating out Bray, but Chaney does seem to be very high on Nance, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I know this off base, but we have kid that runs track last name Locke or DLocke ( i like that)10.3 100m and 20.58 200mm what is height and weight and can he play football? just want to throw that out there or does he want to play?

I agree with you. I watched his tape and I was impressed with his short game. He may not do the long ball as good as others, but I put more value on the short game to neutralize blitzes and the pass rush.

I am glad others are starting to see that Nash Nance is the future of football.

The Nashty Nance Locomotive is about to depart, so jump on while you can.

As many coaches in football are enamored with fast 40 times, I think Chaney may be enamored with Nance's brain. A 4.0 GPA is a tough act to follow.

Brains for a QB are just as important as brawns. A QB has to make so many decisions in the huddle, on the line, and during the play.
I once heard Kelly Holcomb speak about the 40 seconds before the snap, and he said so many things my head exploded!
So, yes. Nance should do fine at UT.

Settle down ......

remember...UT beat out VANDY and Mississippi St for him. Lets not crown him Manning #2 just yet.

I do like what he did in HS. He has a good arm and pretty quick on speed and delivery, but lets hold off and see what he does!.......or brings in!!!!! DR!!!!!
