Big recruiting news!!

Nash's signing certainly doesn't hurt our chances with Rogers, and the rumors that both will be back on campus potentially this weekend could be a good sign, but let's not get too excited. West and Ward were saying that UT fans should be dancing naked(to use their terms):shaking2: over the news of 2 commits (Rivera and Nance) along with the possibility of Stone and Rogers, but until they send their LOI's in, I'm taking the wait and see approach. Nash is a good get as is any player who is truly excited to play for the Big Orange, but I think their use of "Big News" was more of an attention-retention device than a truly big announcement. Welcome Nash to Big Orange Country.

foolish fool. Vandy is in the top 15 in the nation as far as universities are concerned. and the average ACT for students there is a 34...much more impressive to an employer than a UT diploma; but that does not mean you can't get a good education at UT. I just dont think that thats an opportunity you pass up if your a 2 star player. Whatever im glad to have him!!!

GEEE WOW.
I didn't apply to Vandy, didn't want to go to Vandy. I'm Self-Employed now and Vandy didn't appeal to me then. Could I have gotten in? Don't know... don't care.
The school on the sheep skin does mean something to some people and that's fine. As an employer, I like to see UT Knoxville on the diploma.

the average ACT for Vandy's class of 2014 is 31.5 not 34 as you stated. The Lowest score of a student accepted for 2014 was 18. Maybe YOU could have gotten in.

Or 85th....

This just in, Jimmy Hyams is reporting that a QB out of New Orleans, LA named Peyton Manning, son of former Ole Miss and NFL player Archie Manning has verbally committed to Tennessee.

this Manning kid is too skinny, too tall, and has a very average arm. He's never played against good competition and is slow-footed. He stands in the pocket and gets happy feet. We need big time QB's, not some son of an ex-QB. Just because Archie was a Pro Bowler doesn't mean his son can play.

Vanderbilt University: Admissions Information, SAT, ACT, Admission Requirements - College Toolkit

Not sure if the link works but i dont think the average would be 31 if this info is accurate. Also i was told by my brother who is a vandy employee(and fellow UT fan.) told me the middle 50% was 34. Furthermore I didint apply to Vandy either, and I did apply to UT; so I dont want you confusing me with a delusoinal Vandy fan. Anyway when it comes to the employer thing, thats your opinion, but there is bias because you are a Vol fan. But i mean if i were an employer id probaly be guilty of the same thing. But the fact is there are more non-vols than vols, so many dont hire with that bias and will choose the best possible canidate.

Since you want to argue and since your math is suspect, you can check this link.

As you see the average is 31. It would be hard for the middle 50% to be 34 since the highest posible is 35. I did look at your link and the ACT scores are good.... but don't AVERAGE 34.
Nothing personal against Vandy....or you.

SAT and ACT don't prove much of anything. They are not even a good predictor of success in college (the correlation is not very good). They are just a way to weed down the pool of applicants. Outside of the south region, most people have no idea about Vanderbilt or even equate it with an elite education. In short, it is overrated and is no Harvard and not much better than a good state school IMO.

Could be wrong, but I think i've been to that site before and those numbers come from people who signed up for the site and applied, not the whole class.

Vandy although located in the South, is filled with kids from the North. A large portion of kids attending Vandy are from the Northeast. And as for the Vandy football players being smarter than other football players- many of the players attend Vandy's Peabody which is a far cry from the top notch law and MBA programs that they offer.

So yeah, Nash Nance...I hope he turns out to be a great one. There isn't really anything to prove that his isn't better than Tyler Bray at this point. He looks really good in the highlight videos I've seen of him so far.

I don't know if this has been posted but I went from page 1 to you tube and this is what I got YouTube - Nash Nance- QB- Class of 2010. He actually looks really good i thought it would just be him throwin to Rogers but, he spreads the ball around very well and has decent speed for a QB. He's also thicker than bray. Any way i think it's a goog get! GO VOLS!
And once again sorry if alrady posted

And going to Vandy doesn't mean you are a genius , just that you want to be a blood sucking , society draining, scourge of mankind, mainly a lawyer. Doctors don't play football, they are to smart.
