Biggest bust of the year?

oregon and ASU don't have cal's playmakers on offense or defense. And tedford has proven he's a better coach than bellotti. Longshore is vastly superior to both carpenter and dixon.

Uhhhhhh, no. Longshore and Carpenter are quite similar. Torrain > Forsett.

Longshore has a better arm and a much faster release. Torrain has lots of garbage yards pumping up those stats. See the 100+ yards he racked up down by 4 tds against cal. They also don't have cal's talent at backup rb. Cal has better talent at D too. The only question is home field advantage and sun devil stadium has never been intimidating. I do agree they could certainly beat Cal, but personally i'm more worried about oregon.

stewart is injury prone and forsett put up better numbers as a backup in 05 than stewart put up as a starter in 06. And montgomery and best will emerge by the asu or oregon game.

and let's not forget. . .

Longshore has an extremely slow release. He drops the ball to his hip during his "wind up."

We've done this dance before. Your opinion of your Cal boys is a bit pumped with bias. That's surely okay. The season will tell the story on who is going to be more correct on this.

Ok, so my assertions of what will happen mean nothing, but you can say Best and Montgomery will come on? No basis, there. You know better.

Yet another post proving that the rest of the PAC 10 is blissfully ignorant of the destruction Dennis Erickson will reign down on them now that he actually has some resources to work with.

Longshore >>> Dixon

For now

Dixon has a lot to offer with his legs.

carpenter's has the slowest release in the pac-10. I admit i'm biased, but I still stand by that statement. Why do you think carpenter got sacked so many times and longshore so infrequently?

Wisconsin is a tough team to project. They didn't beat a good team in the regular season. Donovan will fill in fine for Stocco, and the DL is nasty. Still, they play a tougher schedule and I think will end up 10-2 or 9-3.

Cal OL >>> ASU OL in 2006

Cal WR >>>> ASU WR in 2006

Don't forget Carpenter's 2005 season.

he will turn them into a 8-4 team immediately. they wont challenge for the pac-10. it should also be noted that ASU has recently implement a very erickson unfriendly academic plan. He's not going to have the free hand he had at Miami or OSU.

Huge bias when it comes to best i must admit. One of my buddies who is a recruiting guy for scout told me best impressed him far more than mcknight or mccoy.
